What are the Positions and Salaries Offered in the Competition?
Candidates will be able to compete for the following positions:
- Basic Education I Teacher – 75 vacancies
- Special Education Teacher – Intellectual Disabilities – 67 vacancies
For the position of Basic Education I, the requirement is to have a higher education degree with qualification for Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education I. The workload is 165 hours per month, and the hourly rate is R$ 35.05.
The position of Special Education – Intellectual Disabilities requires a specific degree in Special Education or a degree in Pedagogy with postgraduate studies in the field. The workload is 180 hours per month, with an hourly rate of R$ 38.37.
Both positions offer salaries that can exceed R$ 6,900 per month, depending on the workload composition, making this competition one of the most attractive on the São Paulo coast.
Who Can Participate and What Are the Requirements?
To apply, it is necessary to be at least 18 years old, have no outstanding issues with the Electoral Justice, be in compliance with Military Service (for men), possess a regularized CPF, and present a diploma compatible with the position.
Individuals over 70 years old at the time of appointment and candidates who have been dismissed from the City Hall of Guarujá due to disciplinary processes cannot participate.
In addition, the legislation provides for the reservation of 5% of the vacancies for persons with disabilities, provided that there is compatibility between the function and the declared limitation.
Candidates must also pass a pre-employment medical examination, which will assess physical and mental fitness.

How Will the Selection Process Work?

For Basic Education I Teacher, there will also be a dissertation test, in which the candidate will need to write an argumentative text. For Special Education Teacher, a case study test will be administered, addressing practical situations in the school environment.
Finally, there will also be a title evaluation, in which diplomas of postgraduate studies, master’s degrees, and doctorates in the field of Education will be considered. The exams are scheduled for November 2, 2025, in Guarujá and, if necessary, in neighboring cities.

How to Register for the Guarujá Competition?
Applications will be open from August 21 to September 22, 2025, exclusively through the website www.ibamsp-concursos.org.br. The fee is R$ 99.00, but candidates registered in the CadÚnico or bone marrow donors can request an exemption between August 25 and 26. Payment can be made by boleto or PIX until September 23.
