New Toyota 'Baby' Land Cruiser? Toyota's long-awaited compact SUV is about to hit the automotive market, promising to impress with its 204 horsepower and rugged design.

Another new compact SUV from Toyota is set to hit the automotive market and it will be a model that promises to attract off-road vehicle enthusiasts. With features inspired by the Compact Cruiser EV prototype, the Toyota 'Baby' Land Cruiser combines the robustness of the classic Land Cruiser with reduced dimensions and greater accessibility, ideal for the urban and adventurous public.

Check out the details of what the engine of Toyota's new SUV will be like

At around 4,5 meters long, the Mini Land Cruiser, Toyota's new compact SUV, will have a vintage design that evokes nostalgia, but with modern features. Its three-door body and larger interior space than the Suzuki Jimny position it in the automotive market as a practical option for those looking for off-road performance without sacrificing comfort.

Under the hood, the Toyota 'Baby' Land Cruiser is expected to be powered by a 2,8-liter turbodiesel engine derived from the Toyota Hilux, as well as all-wheel drive and advanced features for challenging terrain, such as hill descent control and specific off-road driving modes. This puts Toyota's compact SUV in direct competition with vehicles such as Jeep Wrangler and Ford Bronco Sport in the automotive market.

Although there is still no official confirmation of its arrival in the European or Brazilian automotive market, production of the Toyota 'Baby' Land Cruiser could begin as early as November 2024, with a launch scheduled for 2025. The expectation is that Toyota's new SUV will combine modern technologies and sustainable options, aligning with current market demands.

Toyota's new compact SUV delivers 204 horsepower

The Toyota 'Baby' Land Cruiser has a 2.8 turbo diesel four-cylinder engine that works in partnership with an electric starter generator and a 48V battery. Power is 204 hp and torque is 50,9 kgfm. This electrical system helps reduce fuel consumption and pollutant gas emissions.

In terms of dimensions, Toyota's new SUV will be around 4,50 m long and have a wheelbase of 22,75 m. For comparison purposes, the Jeep Compass currently sold in Brazil is a mid-size SUV measuring 4,40 m. It should come with an automatic transmission, 4WD with several driving modes and other highlights.

Versions equipped with a 2.7-liter gasoline engine, which produces 166 horsepower and equips the Toyota Hilux Champ, are expected. Electric versions of this compact Toyota SUV can also be expected in the future. In the Japanese brand's portfolio, the Toyota 'Baby' Land Cruiser will be a more robust option than the Corolla Cross and smaller than the SW4, Land Cruiser and other SUVs. It will begin production in mid-November in Thailand and sales are expected to begin between the end of the year and the beginning of 2025.

Other vehicles produced by Toyota

In addition to this Toyota 'Baby' Land Cruiser, Toyota's new SUV, the brand is looking to increase its representation in the automotive market and is preparing a series of launches for 2025. Currently, the Japanese automaker has six new products ready to be announced.

Among the models is the Yaris cross, which will arrive in Brazil in December of this year. The compact SUV has a 1.5 naturally aspirated engine with 106 hp and a hybrid version. Even before reaching the Brazilian market, the car has been controversial, being involved in a fraud scheme.

With so much natural beauty that Brazil has and we don't have good cars like the old TR4 for us to take around. I hope Toyota makes a cheap 4x4 for Brazilians to have fun.

It won't be cheap. If a Jimny Sierra costs around 200 thousand reais, this one certainly won't cost less.

There's always some idiot defending the government's idiot who loves high taxes. In B's government, the clear reduction in taxes made these acquisitions easier. But there are still those who think the same thing. There's no cure for idiots.

Buddy, at the beginning of government B, a popular car cost 35 thousand reais, at the end of government B, the same car cost 70 thousand reais. I bought an Amarok at the beginning of government B for 180 thousand reais. 2 years later, I went to get a quote to exchange it and the same truck was asking for 320 thousand reais. I voted for B, but in this regard, he was very bad, so much so that he lost the election. I have a small transport company and at the beginning of government B, I bought 2 trucks for 850 thousand reais. 2 years later, the asking price was 1 million reais each. Things have simply gone beyond what is reasonable and, yes, the government has to intervene, call the automakers to find out why this absurdity is happening.

The government does not need to call the car manufacturers to find out about any nonsense, unless the government and the economic team are all feeble-minded, anyone with a moderate level of intelligence knows that the cost of producing something in Brazil is very high due to the taxes to support the court in Brasília.

I agree with you, Inácio. People don't analyze the facts and talk nonsense. They forget that the tax levied on purchases comes from the government, not the party. If they want to defend or criticize government A or B, that's fine. But be smart in your arguments. Some people seem like a bunch of idiots dressed up as idiots...

In fact, what Brazil is missing is a car manufacturer that makes cars for the poor. Because there are already plenty of cars that make cars for the rich.

If cutting all taxes will cost more than it did 3 years ago with taxes, from 2021 onwards it simply ran away from everything that is reasonable, prices doubled and taxes were always high.

Several projects blocked by the opposition **** at the time, and currently with a path archived during the “L” administration. A practical example of this is the reduction of IPI or even the full exemption. But I believe that a simple research or reading is not part of your daily routine, reflecting the preference for the father of the poor. After all, if it were still “the former president”, everything would be worse for you, right?

First of all, without being ****, the word “FOCE” does not exist! Now let’s talk about prices: this government has a history of taxation to try to pay the public accounts deficit that keeps rising! I suggest you watch Pingos no Is on Jovem Pan, which starts at 18pm and can be seen for free on the Pan Flix app! I’ll be typing about the complexity of the subject all day! Good morning.

Worse still, you're right, the problem is that the car manufacturers are a mafia that is scary, and then there are those who defend them saying: oh, it's the taxes, oh, it's the politics, oh, it's the imports, etc... In fact, cars in Brazil are an unrealistic cost and when those who want to solve the situation appear, they disappear or die in poverty. VIVIA Seu Gurgel, a true patriot.

People have lost track of everything….guilt, government, fees and taxes.
I really want to know what the real value would be if we take the **** out of politics... people talk a lot of **** and that's why we don't reach a logical conclusion... so let's do things correctly.
The real price of the vehicle is far from reality, here people accept everything without any problems... and they don't know how to charge anything, there's a lot of whining and little results.

Vehicle taxation can reach up to 50%; in left-wing states, state taxes are the highest. A Toyota Yaris worth R$120 could cost, on average, R$70 without taxation! Do the L and pay without crying. The Bolsonaro government has made several attempts to reduce taxes; some taxes would be zeroed, and it has always been blocked by the leftists on duty.

True, my friend. But we also have taxes and interest on financing that prevent us from having a new car.
