The partnership that made the project possible

Furthermore, National Land Transport Agency (ANTT) is closely monitoring the implementation of the project.

To make this dream come true, VII invested approximately R $ million 40 in the recovery of the railway line and the infrastructure necessary for the train to operate.

The company provided four locomotives, a railway workshop and several shunting yards for the Friends of the Train Oscip, ensuring the highest quality and safety operation.

Project details: a historical and cultural journey

One of the most fascinating features of this new tourist train will be the historical experience provided by railway stations along the route.

The original project, launched in 2016, envisaged an itinerary of 168 km, but the current version will be concentrated in shorter sections, giving tourists the chance to experience the history of Brazilian rail transport.

In addition to the historic stations, such as those of three rivers, Wheezing e Sapucaia, which date back to the 19th century, the train will also pass through regions surrounded by mountains and rivers, turning every kilometer into an adventure.

The route is also an excellent opportunity for ecotourism, with trails and activities such as Rafting in the Paraibuna River.

The impact on tourism and the region's economy

With the growing demand for tourist train travel in Brazil, the Rio-Minas Train comes to add another tour option for those looking for something different.

According to estimates, the new train will help to consolidate Rio de Janeiro and Minas Gerais as rail tourism destinations, further encouraging the development of small and medium-sized cities.

The historical beauty of Três Rios and the attractions along the way

Sensational. Until there are high-speed trains for intercity travel, tourist trains are excellent for maintaining the railway culture. I hope they don't charge high prices with low attractiveness.

What greatness!
This train should be a great expansion factor for historical travel and possible for all ages!
Dear friends of the train – OSCIP – CONGRATULATIONS – I am passionate about train travel and I have made some trips, Lisbon/Fatima/Madrid/Lourdes/Paris/Turin/Milan/Rome and, somewhere…
I ask for special attention to the train between Pindamonhangaba/Campos do Jordão (almost inoperative) oh, the Vice-president, Geraldo Alckmin is the son of Pindamonhangaba!
I ask for attention to train lines that were already useful here in the Northeast, which could be reactivated, – route Salvador, Bahia/ to Aracaju, Sergipe and, continuing to Maceió, Alagoas/ Recife/ Pernambuco/ João Pessoa, Paraiba/ Natal Rio Grande do Norte/ Fortaleza, Ceará/ Terezinha, Piauí and São Luís, Maranhão!
Oh! I wish! I believe in this venture and it will be one of the greatest riches of our beloved country, Brazil!
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
