SUVs are becoming increasingly popular, and the mid-size SUV segment will receive exciting new offerings in Brazil. Let’s take a look at the models that are already confirmed to arrive in the country.
These new mid-size SUVs promise to shake up the Brazilian market, offering modern, tech-savvy, and efficient options. Renowned brands like Chevrolet, Volkswagen, Hyundai, Nissan, and Renault will be raising the bar for cars in Brazil.
Volkswagen Tyron in Brazil
The Volkswagen Tyron is the official replacement for the Tiguan in Latin America and Asia. Produced in Mexico, it will be the new option from the manufacturer above the T-Cross. The Tyron will have versions with conventional and coupe body styles. It stands out with Black Piano details, wheels up to 19 inches, and Full LED headlights and taillights.

Chevrolet Equinox Hybrid
The new Chevrolet Equinox arrives with a bang, now featuring electrification. It has a robust and adventurous look, excellent interior finishes, and generous space for five adults. The list of features includes ADAS Level 2 system.
The hybrid system combines a 1.5 Turbo engine with 175 horsepower and a 190-horsepower electric motor, achieving 0 to 100 km/h in 6.8 seconds. The combined range exceeds 1000 km. Produced in Mexico, the new Equinox Hybrid is expected to cost over R$ 240,000 and will arrive in Brazil in the last quarter of the year.
Hyundai Tucson
The new generation of the Hyundai Tucson, a South Korean mid-size SUV, finally arrives in Brazil. It will be produced locally and competes with the Jeep Compass. The Tucson’s design is very modern, with a distinctive grille, split headlights, wheels up to 19 inches, and LED taillights.
Inside, the Tucson is sophisticated and modern, featuring a complete set of equipment. It will have a hybrid powertrain consisting of a 1.6 Turbo engine and an electric motor, totaling 225 horsepower and 35.7 kgfm of torque, with a seven-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. The new Tucson will arrive in Brazil in the last quarter of the year, with prices ranging from R$ 200,000 to R$ 300,000.
Nissan
Nissan will bring a new mid-size SUV to Brazil, positioned above the Kicks. This model, which may be a simplified version of the Qashqai, will be produced in Brazil to compete with the Jeep Compass and Corolla Cross.
The new Nissan SUV will feature a modern design, two-tone paint, wheels up to 18 inches, and a Full LED lighting system. Inside, it will offer excellent finishes and many features. The powertrain is expected to utilize a new e-Power hybrid system developed for Latin America.
Renault
Renault will also launch a new mid-size SUV in Brazil, larger than the Duster and with up to seven seats. This model will be a version of the Dacia Bigster and will be produced locally. Its design will be similar to the Duster, but more sophisticated and larger.
The interior will be refined, with more space and two additional seats in the trunk. The powertrain is expected to be an E-Tech hybrid system, consisting of a naturally aspirated 1.6 engine and two electric motors, totaling approximately 140 horsepower and 26 kgfm of combined torque. This new SUV will be unveiled in Europe this year and will arrive in Brazil in 2025.
