The new BYD eT18 has just been officially unveiled in Brazil with a 100% electric motor, a range of 165 km even when loaded with 21 tons, and an ambitious promise: to reduce maintenance costs by up to 70% compared to diesel models. The era of silent heavy-duty vehicles begins now.

The future of heavy urban logistics has just gained a new protagonist. The BYD eT18 is not just another electric truck; it is a project born with a DNA of efficiency. With immediate torque of 450 Nm, power of 180 kW, and a 4-speed automatic transmission, the model is already starting to operate in real operations in Brazil and promises to make noise… without emitting a single sound.

BYD eT18 Delivers Power, Economy, And Charging In Record Time

Powered by two battery packs with a total capacity of 229 kWh, the BYD eT18 impresses by offering a full charge in about 1 hour and 20 minutes when connected to two 100 kW chargers. For those lacking advanced infrastructure, the vehicle also accepts charging with just one input, adapting to the reality of Brazilian operations.

Reinforced Structure And In-House Manufacturing Components

The chassis is made of high-strength steel, produced by BYD itself, which is also responsible for the motor, inverters, electronic controller, and the BMS system that manages battery health. Final assembly takes place in Brazil, where the power take-off (PTO) kit, essential for applications with hydraulic implements, is also installed.

The cabin of the BYD eT18 is a show in itself. Extended, with a renewed look and pneumatic seats for both the driver and passenger, it offers traction control, stability control, hill-start assistance, cruise control, and electro-hydraulic steering. The digital dashboard provides all essential information intuitively, including the energy regeneration level, which acts as an advanced engine brake and also recharges the batteries on descents.

The regeneration system has four levels of intensity, allowing the driver to choose between Eco or Sport driving modes. The technology transforms the BYD eT18 into a truck that understands the terrain, reduces consumption, and offers drivability tailored for any scenario, from the mountains to busy avenues.
