Equinor, the Norwegian oil company, has announced an offshore job vacancy for Rio de Janeiro

One of the largest companies in the oil and gas sector, Equinor is present in Brazil developing on and offshore projects in oil and gas exploration and production. The Norwegian company is considered by many to be one of the largest in the sector. Currently, Equinor has an offshore job opportunity for a production operator. The vacancy is destined for Rio de Janeiro.

Offshore Production Operator

Requirements:

  • 2+ years experience as a production operator in oil and gas production;
  • Technician graduation – automation, mechanics, chemistry;
  • Good command of verbal and written Portuguese and good command of English;
  • Peregrino WHP's and FPSO experience will be considered an advantage.

Job Activities:

  • Operate Oil and Gas systems with a commitment to guarantee oil production specifications and legal parameters for the disposal of produced water;
  • Accurately monitor process variables (pressure, level, temperature, flow, etc), committed to helping control room operators understand process trends, collaborating with ideas and technical suggestions to ensure the stability of the process;
  • Operate the plant element with a focus on optimizing production while following safe operations guidelines;
  • Actively participate in first-line maintenance, executing preventive work orders, preservation tasks and corrosion prevention;
  • Operate the equipment safely and within the operating design without damaging the piping and other accessories due to lack of skill;
  • Proactively look for equipment malfunctions, identify failures and provide practical and immediate solutions to avoid breakdowns;
  • Report technical problems identified in the field with a detailed explanation and photos using a word processor.
