To combat the shortage in the IT sector, 500 vacancies in free courses are open to young people from Maranhão. Learn how to participate in Information Technology courses and enter the job market.

The Government of Maranhão is accepting applications for free courses for those interested in qualifying or requalifying in technology areas and who are looking for opportunities, in line with the shortage in the IT sector. 500 places are being offered on Information Technology courses through the Trilhas Inova program.

Who can participate in the free IT shortage courses?

Executed by State Secretariat for Science, Technology and Innovation (Secti) in partnership with the Foundation for Support of Research and Scientific and Technological Development of Maranhão (Fapema), the notice already has 3.315 applicants from 181 cities in Maranhão. Applications are open until October 18.

The program, which aims to combat shortages in the IT sector, is aimed at people aged 16 and over, who reside in Maranhão and are studying or have completed high school in public or private schools (with a full scholarship) and if they have completed or are studying higher education, whether in a public or private institution, with a full scholarship.

Those interested in Information Technology courses must have access to a computer and internet, as well as 8 hours per week available for activities.

The vacancies are in free courses for shortages in the IT sector in the areas of Website Programming/Front-End (125 vacancies), Game Programming (50 vacancies), Systems Programming/Jack-End (125 vacancies), Design and User Experience (100 vacancies) and Data Science (100 vacancies).

In addition, there will be an additional career path for all participants. In this stage, the government has increased the total number of vacancies to 1.000, considering the 500 young people already selected at the beginning of the year.

How to participate in Information Technology courses?

The Secti notice, with registration information and criteria for free courses, is available on the Secti website. First, the candidate must access the Inova website, click on the Startups menu, click on the Tracks submenu and click on the registration form button.

To complete the registration, the candidate must complete and send the form available at the address mentioned, with the requested digital documents, as described in the notice.

When registering, the candidate must upload documents in PDF format, such as a high school completion certificate or a declaration of affiliation with the institution, if still enrolled, and a declaration or proof of scholarship, among others, such as ID and CPF, proof of residence and registration declaration.

Investing in the training of new generations with free courses ensures preparation for the challenges of the job market and combats shortages in the IT sector. The institution is creating an environment conducive to creativity, innovation and personal development.

The Information Technology course project is a chance to empower these young people, providing knowledge and the chance to put into practice everything they learn to be protagonists in the future.

The free course program offers 500 scholarships, worth R$500 each, for four months, totaling R$2. With a total workload of 400 hours, participants will have 20 weeks of online classes and practical activities. At the end of the courses, participants receive a certificate and will be part of a talent pool integrated with companies in the area.
