After Petrobras Managed to Put the P-74 Operational in the Búzios Field on the 20th, Others Will Enter Operation by the End of 2018
Petrobras successfully started operations on the FPSO P-74 and begins to produce at full steam in the Búzios Field in this pioneering area of onerous session. In addition to this unit, 6 more completely operational units are planned to be ready to produce, which are indeed relevant figures, considering the last few years without such a level of investment projection due to the economic recession. Next, check out the units that will complete the fleet in 2018:

-
Scientists discover unexpected climate benefit hidden in forest soils related to atmospheric methane absorption.
-
Sandy unproductive land can become a highly profitable area with a simple technique that boosts soybeans and corn to over 100 sacks.
-
The new Kia hatch will have a range of up to 480 km, may cost up to 25,000 euros (around R$ 150,000), and promises to become one of the most affordable electric cars in Europe; meet the Kia Picanto Electric.
-
Viih Tube, former BBB contestant and millionaire, lives in a mansion worth R$ 8.5 million with a heated artificial lake, two cinemas, a complete spa, and a giant playroom of 120 m² for the couple’s children.
First Half
With the P-74 already in operations, Petrobras informs that the FPSO Campos dos Goytacazes is also expected to enter operation before July; they are waiting for Ibama to release the environmental licensing at once so that the state-owned company can move forward with production at the Tartaruga Verde field, located in the Campos Basin. It is worth remembering that Petrobras is selling a part of this exploration block to foreign companies, which had already been planned in the company’s divestment plans.
Second Half
In the second half of the year, the production platforms that will be ready are:
- P-67 designated for the Lula Norte Field
- P-68 designated for the Berbigão Field
- P-69 designated for the Lula Sul Field
- P-75 designated for the Buzios 2 Field
- P-76 designated for the Búzios 3 Field
Together, these platforms that still need to join the fleet would reach a total of 750,000 barrels of oil per day. When they integrate with the fleet alongside the two units from the first half, the installed capacity will reach an incredible 1 million barrels per day or more.
Would You Like to Work on an FPSO?
Surprisingly, the Brazilian market has a good fleet of Floating Production Units operating in Brazil, and a good part of them belongs to Petrobras or are chartered by the state-owned company, so if you want or dream of working in this modality, it will be necessary to pass the state exams, and we can guarantee that many of these exams are forthcoming in the coming years. If you do not want to take exams or simply do not have the patience to wait for them to come out, read the article where we teach all the definitive steps to increase your chances of entering this sector.
