Focusing on Hiring Women, Hydro’s “Viva o Seu Talento 2022” Trainee Program Is Open for Applications
Hydro is accepting applications from interested female candidates for the “Viva o Seu Talento 2022” trainee program, which focuses on hiring women. Considering that women represent 52% of the Brazilian population, Hydro launched the program with the intention of forming teams that increasingly reflect society. Aiming to put inclusion actions into practice, the company developed a program focused on the pillars of courage, care, and collaboration.

In addition to promoting inclusion, the act of integrating women into qualified positions in the job market also economically benefits society. According to Hydro’s Human Resources Director, Nelia Lapa, the company believes that investing in a more diverse team of collaborators is extremely important for solving complex challenges and also for creating innovations that will be necessary to support Hydro’s ambition to be a profitable and sustainable industry leader.
The director also added that “the implementation of this trainee program focused on the talents of individuals identified as female is part of a series of actions we have been developing to promote diversity, in line with the guidelines of our Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging program.”

Available Positions at Hydro
Candidates selected through the “Viva Seu Talento 2022” trainee program will have the opportunity to work at the Alunorte refinery plant in Barcarena (PA), at Hydro Paragominas, at the Hydro office in Belém (PA), and at Hydro Extrusion in Itu (SP), Utinga (SP), and Tubarão (SC).
The exclusive program for women will last for 2 years and focus on professional development, providing tools for the trainees’ immersion in their areas of operation and mentorship with a skills development plan: leadership, organization, behavior, and technical skills. The selected candidates will also have the opportunity to learn about all Hydro business units in Brazil.
How to Apply for Hydro’s Trainee Program
The application period for the “Viva o Seu Talento 2022” trainee program runs until March 7, and applications can be submitted on Hydro’s website. To participate in the program, a selection process will be conducted in four phases, including language tests, behavioral assessments, dynamics, and an online case, as well as an interview that may be conducted in person, following all safety protocols and protection measures against Covid-19.
