The Scientific Police Contest of Paraná Offers Salaries of Over R$ 21 Thousand and Numerous Open Positions.
Applications are open for those who wish to work in the Scientific Police of Paraná. According to the public notice, the contest of the institution has 30 immediate vacancies for the position of Official Criminal Expert, which has an initial salary of R$ 21,722.67.
According to the document, these opportunities are for higher-level professionals distributed among 13 different areas of action, with the working hours of the approved candidates varying between 20 to 40 hours per week, depending on the intended specialty.
Main Requirements for the Scientific Police Contest
To participate in the Scientific Police contest, there are some minimum requirements. One of them is to have completed higher education with specialization for specific functions. Additionally, it is also necessary for the applicant to have a National Driver’s License (CNH) or permission to drive motor vehicles in the minimum category “B”, valid and within the expiration date.

The Stages of the Contest
In total, the contest for the Scientific Police of Paraná, for the position of Official Expert, will have seven stages, which are:
- Objective Test – eliminatory and classificatory;
- Discursive Test – eliminatory and classificatory;
- Physical Aptitude Test – eliminatory;
- Psychological Assessment – eliminatory;
- Social Investigation – eliminatory;
- Health Inspection – eliminatory;
- Title Test – classificatory.
The Tests of the Contest
The first tests will be the objective and discursive ones. The objective test, which will have eliminatory and classificatory character, will cover the following subjects:
- General Knowledge – 40 questions (weight 0.75);
- Specific Knowledge – 40 questions (weight 1.25).
The discursive test, which, like the objective one, will also have an eliminatory and classificatory character, will be evaluated on a scale from 0 to 20 points. Candidates with a score of ten or higher will be considered approved.
Physical Aptitude Test and Title Evaluation
Those approved in the objective and discursive tests will be called for the Physical Aptitude Test, which will also be eliminatory. After that, they will be called for the title test, which has a classificatory character.
