According to information released by PPSA, in the last month of April, the total oil production (consortia and Union) of the sharing contracts reached 56 thousand barrels per day (bpd). The average daily share of the Union in the three contracts related to the 56 thousand barrels of oil produced daily was 10.1 thousand bpd, with 5.4 thousand bpd in the Mero Development Area; 4.7 thousand bpd in Surrounding of Sapinhoá; and 27 bpd in Southwest of Tartaruga Verde.
The figures indicate a growth of 31.1 percent compared to April of last year, when the Union’s share was 7.7 thousand bpd across the three areas.
The information is part of the Monthly Bulletin of Production Sharing Contracts released by Pré-Sal Petróleo (PPSA), the manager of the contracts.
The production of the sharing contracts will be disclosed monthly, based on data from the National Agency of Petroleum (ANP) and calculations of the oil surplus production of the Union conducted by the Exploration and Production Superintendency of Pré-Sal Petróleo.
The Mero Development Area (Libra contract), Surrounding of Sapinhoá, and Southwest of Tartaruga Verde operate with four FPSOs and 18 wells.
In April of this year, among the three contracts, the oil producer was in the Mero Development Area, which produced 36 thousand bpd (consortia and Union) out of 56 thousand bpd, followed by Southwest of Tartaruga Verde with 12 thousand bpd and Surrounding of Sapinhoá with 8 thousand bpd.
Referring to the same period above, only Surrounding of Sapinhoá and Southwest of Tartaruga Verde produce with commercial utilization of natural gas, totaling 270 thousand m³/day.
Currently, the natural gas produced in Mero has no commercial utilization.
