The Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology Baiano (IF Baiano) announced, on January 22, 2025, Public Notice No. 15/2025, which regulates the selection of students for the Lato Sensu Graduate Course in Innovation and Trends in Education, offered in distance learning mode.
The course is free and aims to train education professionals to implement innovative pedagogical practices, with an emphasis on digital technologies, active methodologies, and experiential education.
Applications are open from January 27 to February 10, 2025, exclusively through the official website of IF Baiano.
Specialization Course In Educational Innovation
Intended for holders of a degree recognized by the Ministry of Education (MEC), the course aims to train educators capable of understanding and applying contemporary pedagogical trends.
With a workload of 360 hours, divided into two modules, the activities will be carried out entirely on the IF Baiano Moodle platform, allowing flexibility for participants.
Distribution Of Spots And Support Centers
The Federal Institute IF Baiano offers 200 spots for this specialization, equally distributed among five in-person support centers: Alagoinhas, Dias d’A vila, Esplanada, Rio Real, and Salvador.

Selection Process And Tiebreaker Criteria
The selection of candidates will be conducted by order of registration, considering the date and time of submission. In case of a tie, the following criteria will be applied:

- Time of experience as a teacher in the area of professional education;
- Work in basic and higher education.
Approved candidates will be notified through the official portal and via email, and must confirm their enrollment within three calendar days to secure their spot.
Reserved Spots For Affirmative Actions
The public notice provides for the reservation of 25% of the spots for affirmative actions, with 20% reserved for candidates who are black, brown, or indigenous, and 5% for persons with disabilities (PwD).
If these spots are not filled, they will be redistributed to the general competition, according to the criteria established in the notice.
Registrations And Required Documentation
Applications must be made by February 10, 2025, exclusively through the electronic form available on the official IF Baiano website.
It is necessary to attach the documents required in item 4.6 of the notice, including undergraduate diploma, identification document, and proof of residence.
Schedule And Disclosure Of Results
The preliminary selection result is expected to be published on February 25, 2025.
Approved candidates must follow the instructions in the notice to formalize their enrollment and start the course in the first semester of 2025.
