A portion of these spots will be allocated to Social Demand, meaning candidates who meet the criteria established by Law No. 12.711/2012 and its most recent updates, including Law Nos. 14.723/2023 and 14.945/2024.
The goal is to ensure access to higher education for historically disadvantaged groups, promoting a more equitable education.
Who Can Participate?
The selection process is open to candidates who meet at least one of the following criteria:
- Having completed high school in Brazilian public schools or in community institutions affiliated with the government;
- Possessing a high school completion certificate through the ENEM, ENCCEJA, or state certification exams;
- Having participated in the ENEM in one of the editions held in the last three years (2022, 2023, or 2024).
In addition to these criteria, it is essential that the candidate has an interest in working in the field of education and teaching Philosophy, as the Bachelor’s Degree aims to train future teachers for the subject in basic and secondary education.
Deadlines and Enrollment Process
Enrollment for Social Demand will be open from February 19 to 21, 2025, and can be done exclusively online, on the official UFSJ website.
There will be no enrollment fee, making the process even more accessible. At the time of enrollment, the candidate must provide their ENEM registration number and indicate which location they wish to choose to participate in the course.
How Will the Selection Be Made?
The classification of candidates will be based on the scores obtained in the ENEM. To be considered eligible for selection, the candidate must meet the following requirements:
- Score at least 250 points in each of the objective tests of the ENEM;
- Achieve at least 250 points in the essay.
The final average will be calculated taking into account a weighting of the ENEM scores, with specific weights for each area of knowledge.
In case of a tie in the classification, preference will be given to the candidate who is older.
The announcement of the final list of approved candidates will occur on February 26, 2025, directly on the official UFSJ website.
