Working from Home, Only 4 Hours a Day and Still Earning R$ 1,100? The Federal University of Roraima (UFRR) is Recruiting 40 Tutors for E-Learning Courses with a Simplified Selection Process and No Exams.

Have you ever thought about working from home, with reduced hours and still receiving a fixed monthly amount?

This is the reality that the Federal University of Roraima (UFRR) is offering to education professionals through a new selection process for remote course tutors.

The selection is being conducted by the Center for Distance Education (NEAD) of the institution, in partnership with the Open University of Brazil (UAB).

According to announcement No. 01/2025, recently published by UFRR, the goal is to form a reserve list of up to 40 tutors for the extension course “Training for Teaching and Management for Education on Ethnic-Racial and Quilombola Relations.”

The selected tutors will work remotely, receiving a monthly scholarship of R$ 1,100.00, paid directly by the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES).

Opportunity for Educators

The tutors will play an essential role in the course, assisting students in the virtual learning environment, promoting discussions, mediating content, and providing pedagogical support to participants.

The activities will be conducted on a digital platform, including synchronous and asynchronous meetings.

To participate, candidates must fill out an online form and attach the required documents, such as:

  • Undergraduate diploma;
  • Proof of residence;
  • Voter registration certification;
  • Updated resume.

All documents must be submitted within the deadline and according to the rules of the announcement.

Selection Criteria

The selection process will take place in a single stage, of a classificatory and eliminatory nature, based on the curriculum analysis. Points will be awarded according to the following criteria:

  • Undergraduate diploma: 10 points;
  • Postgraduate (specialization, master’s, or doctorate): 15 points;
  • Experience as a teacher in Basic Education: 0.5 points per year;
  • Experience in Distance Education: 0.5 points per year;
  • Activity in NEAD: 0.5 points per year.

To be approved, the candidate must achieve at least 50 points. In case of a tie, criteria such as older age and greater experience in EAD will be considered.

The extension course promoted by UFRR aims to prepare professionals to deal with educational diversity and implement inclusive practices.

Brazil has made progress in the discussion of ethnic-racial relations in education, and this course seeks to train teachers to work in this context.
