The Campos Basin is Back in the Game – As Click Oil and Gas mentioned earlier, the Campos Basin was the most sought after, having the highest revenue and interest from companies. Petrobras and the giant ExxoMobil acquired practically everything and now hold the concessions for these exploration fields. The revitalization of mature fields and the discovery of pre-salt in this region are projects that are worth gold. Pedro Parente himself stated that he already had valuable data regarding the Campos Basin, but did not disclose it to the media for strategic reasons.
