The discrepancy between the social capital and the location of the headquarters in BH raises questions about the source of the investments and the viability of the project announced in Paraíba.

The Chinese entrepreneurs Chen, responsible for Brasil CRT in BH, are often seen in the building. Following the announcement of the investment in Paraíba, which drew interest from local and national authorities, the Public Ministry of Paraíba began an investigation to assess the viability and legitimacy of the project. Governor João Azevêdo canceled a scheduled meeting with the Chinese executives after the repercussions of the case, in which the headquarters in BH were discovered.

Despite the controversies involving the Chinese and the ongoing investigations, the management of Brasil CRT denies any irregularities at the headquarters in BH and states that details about the investment will be revealed as the project progresses.
