Three Fold Format Expands Screen Area
The Galaxy Z TriFold adopts two hinges, allowing for different usage configurations.
Fully opened, the device reaches 10 inches on the internal screen, equipped with an LTPO Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel and a resolution of QXGA+ (2160 x 1584 pixels).
When closed, it functions as a conventional smartphone, with access to the external screen.
This front screen measures 6.5 inches, also with LTPO Dynamic AMOLED 2X technology, FHD+ (2520 x 1080 pixels) resolution, and a variable refresh rate between 1 and 120 Hz.
According to the disclosed specifications, the maximum brightness reaches 2,600 nits on the external panel and 1,600 nits on the internal one.
The external screen also features Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 protection.

In terms of performance, Samsung equipped the TriFold with the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, a customized version of Qualcomm’s top-tier chip.
The model comes with 16 GB of RAM and options of 512 GB or 1 TB of internal storage, with no mention of support for memory cards.
Connectivity includes 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC, in addition to stereo sound.
The device has an IP48 certification, which indicates specific resistance against dust and water within defined laboratory parameters, without characterizing total protection against these elements.
On the software side, the TriFold ships with Android 16, running under the One UI 8.0 interface.
According to the manufacturer, the combination was designed to better utilize large screens and multitasking modes.
