SBM Offshore Signs Long-Term FPSO Supply Contract With ExxonMobil

Bruno Chabas, CEO of SBM Offshore, Says He Is Very Pleased with These Global Supply Contracts with the American Company for Future FPSO Projects

SBM Offshore and ExxonMobil signed a Long-Term Contract covering potential future orders for FPSOs. This contract is non-exclusive and establishes the overall legal framework and specific terms regarding engineering work, supply, construction, and installation related to potential future contracts for leased FPSOs, which includes Build Operate Transfer projects that typically cover a short-term lease contract.

The relationship between SBM Offshore and ExxonMobil is well-established and dates back over four decades, starting in the 1970s. During this time, SBM Offshore has provided more than ten floating systems to ExxonMobil in five countries, including five FPSOs, deepwater offloading systems, and one FSO. Furthermore, several major projects are currently at various stages of progress.

Bruno Chabas, CEO of SBM Offshore, commented:
