SBM Offshore and ExxonMobil signed a Long-Term Contract covering potential future orders for FPSOs. This contract is non-exclusive and establishes the overall legal framework and specific terms regarding engineering work, supply, construction, and installation related to potential future contracts for leased FPSOs, which includes Build Operate Transfer projects that typically cover a short-term lease contract.

The relationship between SBM Offshore and ExxonMobil is well-established and dates back over four decades, starting in the 1970s.
