Sigdo Koppers Brasil, a subsidiary of the Chilean SKIC, one of the most important engineering and construction companies in Latin America, has begun collecting resumes from professionals to fill various job vacancies available. The company is responsible for a new mining project in Minas Gerais, in the municipality of Itabirito. Sigdo Koppers is looking for qualified individuals to fill positions in engineering, planning, construction, quality control, and health and safety.
SKIC is a Chilean capital company with a significant presence in the construction and assembly sector. In addition to Chile, SKIC operates in countries such as Brazil, Peru, and Colombia. Since the company was founded in 1960, it has participated in various important initiatives in the regions where it operates, including over 140 activities related to mining.
The company started its operations in Brazil in 2016 and currently has around six ongoing projects, employing approximately 1,000 direct and indirect employees. This number is expected to increase, as this time the company intends to hire more than 1,000 new employees for the execution of the project in Minas Gerais. New Project by Sigdo Koppers in Minas Gerais
Sigdo Koppers do Brasil, a subsidiary of the Chilean SKIC, has been expanding since it entered the Brazilian market in 2016. The company has been focusing its efforts primarily on the energy transmission sector, and starting last year, 2021, it began to expand its operations into other areas, including mining and infrastructure, as is the case with this new project in Itabirito, central Minas Gerais.
In these five years of operation in the Brazilian market, the company has carried out various projects in different parts of the country, such as Bahia, Pará, Mato Grosso, Goiás, Minas Gerais, and Rio de Janeiro. In the implementation of transmission lines, for example, which was its main focus, it has already installed over 2,000 kilometers of lines in all projects spread across the country.
