During Frisbee Game, A Small Hammerhead Shark Fell On The Field And Created A Bizarre Scene That Shocked Everyone On The Field
An unusual scene interrupted a frisbee game at Splinter City field in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. On May 18, a small hammerhead shark fell from the sky, leaving the players completely surprised.
The animal, already dead, was dropped by a bird of prey. An osprey, also known as a fish hawk, was carrying the shark when it was chased by two crows. During the chase, the bird dropped its catch right in the middle of the field where the game was taking place.
Jonathan Marlowe, who witnessed the moment, told Live Science that he initially thought the animal in the bird’s claws was a common fish. “When it fell to the ground and we saw it was a hammerhead shark, no one believed it,” he reported.

A volcanic island emerged out of nowhere in the ocean in 1963, has been isolated from humanity since day one, and became a forbidden laboratory where scientists observe how life invades a land that should not exist.

The shark could be easily identified by its hammer-shaped head, a striking characteristic of the species. However, the exact type has not yet been confirmed.
The South Carolina Department of Natural Resources reports that there are at least three types of hammerhead sharks in the region, including the rare Carolina hammerhead.
Scenes involving wildlife are not new on local frisbee fields. Players have already encountered snakes, raccoons, and even alligators during games. But the fall of a shark from the sky was something never seen before.
Marlowe stated that, after the shock, the players were in disbelief. “We kept looking at each other and asking if that really happened,” he said. They chose to leave the animal on-site, hoping the hawk would return to finish its meal.
The episode quickly became a topic of conversation among local residents, drawing attention for the curious and improbable scene that surprised even those most accustomed to the wildlife of the southern United States.
