If you still have that desire, even with time having passed, get ready: the Firefighters Contest MG 2024 opens registrations in July, offering salaries that can reach R$ 11,037.15.

With vacancies for Combat Soldier, Specialist Soldier, Combat Officer, and Health Officer, this is your chance to enter one of the most noble and respected careers.

Attractive Salaries and Diverse Opportunities

The initial salaries for the approved vary from R$ 5,097.11 to R$ 11,037.15, depending on the position. For Combat and Specialist Soldiers, the starting salary is R$ 5,097.11, while Combat and Health Officers receive R$ 11,037.15. The remuneration is a great attraction, but the real reward is the opportunity to serve and protect the mining community.

Registrations and Fees for the Firefighter Contest

Registrations for the contest will be open from July 22 to August 23, 2024, and must be made on the website of the organizing body, IDECAN. The registration fees vary according to the position: R$ 101.00 for Soldier and R$ 220.00 for Officer.

Distribution of Positions and Requirements

The contest offers 329 immediate vacancies:

  • Combat Soldier: 291 vacancies
  • Specialist Soldier: 12 vacancies
  • Combat Officer: 21 vacancies
  • Health Officer: 5 vacancies

To compete, you must have a higher education degree and meet other requirements, such as:

  • Age between 18 and 30 years (up to 35 years for Health Officer)
  • Be up to date with military and electoral obligations
  • Have physical and mental fitness
  • Minimum height of 1.60m
  • Valid driver’s license category “B”.

Selection Process in the Firefighter Contest

The selection process is rigorous and includes:

  • Objective Test: with 50 multiple-choice questions, to be held on September 22 (for Officers) and September 29 (for Soldiers)
  • Essay Test: only for Combat Officers
  • Discursive/Practical Test: only for Health Officers
  • Title Test: for Specialist Soldiers and Health Officers
  • Practical Music Exam: for Specialist Soldier – Musician
  • Physical Capacity Test (PCT): for all positions, including tests for aerobic endurance, abdominal flexion, muscle strength, agility, and swimming skills
  • Admission Exams: medical, psychological, and toxicological examinations.

Tips to Prepare

The preparation for the firefighter contest should be intense and comprehensive. The objective tests will include subjects such as Portuguese Language, Logical Reasoning, Human Rights and Legislation, Natural Sciences, Human Sciences, Civil Protection and Defense, among others. Additionally, candidates must be physically prepared for the rigorous physical tests.
