The Faymonville Group Arrives in Arkansas
The recent decision by Faymonville Group, a Luxembourg multinational specializing in trailers and special transport, to open its first factory in the United States promises to transform the city of Little Rock, Arkansas.
As announced in an official statement, the company, which already leads the sector with its brands MAX Trailer, Faymonville, and Cometto, chose the location for its strategic infrastructure: easy access to interstate highways, railways, navigable waterways, and the local airport.
This investment is expected to bring, according to the company, 500 new direct jobs and a significant economic impact for the region.
The investment, estimated at over $100 million, was made after months of evaluations and negotiations with local authorities.
This expansion effort aims to make the company a reference name in the United States, where it has been operating since 2016 and sees a receptive market eager for practical special transport solutions, says Alexander Fickers, the group’s CEO.
Thus, the U.S. unit will also be responsible for producing trailers with the “Made in America” label, marking a milestone in the company’s history.
Job Creation and Economic Impact
The project benefits not only direct employees.
In addition to the 500 immediate jobs, the indirect impact in the Little Rock area is projected to create nearly 400 new jobs that will arise as a result of the factory, boosting sectors like services, transportation, and supply.
This economic forecast totals an impact of $239 million for neighboring towns, bringing fresh air to the local economy and increasing the demand for professionals from various fields.
The Faymonville Group is a company that already employs 1,400 people in Europe, operating in Belgium, Luxembourg, Poland, and Italy, and produces about 3,000 units per year.
Now, with its entry into the United States, opportunities expand for those with experience or looking to start a career in the special transport and heavy trailer construction sector.
The new factory will serve as the starting point for hundreds of careers, with opportunities ranging from steel structure construction to administrative areas.
Career Opportunities at the New Plant
With this new unit, professionals specialized in steel construction, assembly, surface treatment, and other technical areas will have room to grow.
The company offers an environment that values direct communication and pragmatism, as described by Lisa Faymonville, HR manager.
This means that the organizational culture of Faymonville Group may align well with professionals seeking a work structure where efficiency and practical solutions are fundamental values.
The multinational’s relationship with Hale Trailer, the largest independent trailer dealership in North America, was also crucial for this expansion.
The collaboration strengthened local ties and ensured the necessary support, offering a network of 16 branches that already include North Little Rock.
Additionally, local authorities welcomed the group and held several meetings, including discussions with Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders, highlighting the political support that facilitated the expansion process.
How to Apply and Work in the USA
Those interested in being part of this growth phase of Faymonville Group can follow job opportunities through the company’s career portal. Although jobs are not yet available on the site, candidates are advised to visit the portal frequently to keep track of job openings.
