With Engines Up to 184 HP and Batteries for a Range of Up to 450 Km, the eVitara Begins a New Era for Suzuki and Aims to Compete in the Global Electric SUV Market
Suzuki has just officially unveiled the eVitara, its first 100% electric SUV, which promises innovation with exclusive power and range. The model, designed for the global market, will be produced in India and is expected to reach consumers in 2025. With this investment, Suzuki enters the era of electrification and expands its SUV offering, bringing a vehicle that incorporates advanced technological features and a design that stands out for its robustness and modernity, according to the website Terra.
Power and All-Wheel Drive with Allgrip-e
The eVitara will have several electric motor options, with powers of 144 hp, 174 hp, and the most powerful version at 184 hp, which offers a unique feature: the Allgrip-e all-wheel drive system. This system is made possible by the configuration of two electric motors, one on the front axle and one on the rear axle, which provides greater control and performance on different types of terrain.
The Allgrip-e feature reflects Suzuki’s commitment to maintaining the adventurous DNA of its SUVs, adapting it to electric technology. This advanced all-wheel drive configuration allows the eVitara to be a viable option for both urban use and adventures on roads and more demanding terrains.

Range and Long-Lasting Batteries
To meet consumer range demands, the eVitara offers two battery options. The standard version features a 49 kWh battery, providing a range of up to 310 km on a single charge. The more powerful version is equipped with a 61 kWh battery, allowing a range of up to 450 km, ideal for longer trips and for those seeking greater travel flexibility.
This range capacity positions the eVitara as a direct competitor to electric models from other popular brands, such as the BYD Yuan Pro, the Kia EV3, and the Peugeot e2008. Thus, Suzuki’s SUV offers good value for consumers who want a vehicle with significant range without sacrificing practicality and robust style.
Modern and Appealing External Design
The design of the eVitara has been crafted to attract both consumers seeking a modern look and those desiring the robustness of an SUV. The front of the vehicle showcases headlights connected by a horizontal bar, with a “Y” shaped signature that creates a unique and bold look. The robust bumper, the sculpted hood and wheel arches with plastic appliqués reinforce the strong and striking aspect of the model.

At the rear, the design follows the same visual language, with a broad “C” pillar and taillights that mimic the “Y” shape of the headlights, along with an interconnected light feature that gives the SUV a contemporary touch. The dimensions of the eVitara are also compact for its imposing stature, measuring 4.28 meters in length, 1.80 m in width, and 1.63 m in height, ensuring space and comfort for occupants.
