The Oil Services Provider TechnipFMC Received A Significant Submarine Contract For The Lapa Field In The Santos Basin
The contract that TechnipFMC secured belongs to Total, on behalf of the Lapa field consortium, comprised of Total (35%), Shell Brasil Petróleo Ltda. (30%), Repsol Sinopec Brasil S.A. (25%), and Petrobras (10%). The contract value for TechnipFMC is between US$ 75 million and US$ 250 million, the company reported this Tuesday. The Lapa field is located in the pre-salt of the Santos Basin, under the concession of BM-S-9A, at a water depth of 2,150 meters off the Brazilian coast.
TechnipFMC stated that the contract covers the supply of flexible pipes for oil production, gas lift, and gas injection, as well as associated accessories.

The field will be connected to the FPSO Cidade de Caraguatatuba, which is already in operation. Oil and gas production from the Lapa field started in December 2016.

Total Requests New Proposals For The PLSV For The Lapa Field
The French company Total recently made some significant modifications to the contractual terms of the PLSV, reducing the proposed scope of work to meet its new requirements for the Lapa field, leading the company to request a new bidding process.
It is unclear how many wells Total will drill in the Lapa field, but sources suggested that two or three will be executed soon. The chartered PLSV will connect these wells to the FPSO. Check here for the complete article on this subject
