Toyota Announces Mass Vacation For 5,7 Thousand Employees In Brazil After Storm In Porto Feliz, Decision Includes Lay-Off And Guaranteed Salaries
The storm that damaged the Toyota plant in Porto Feliz (SP) led the company to take an emergency measure. According to the newspaper Folha de São Paulo, the automaker announced mass vacations for 5,7 thousand employees at its factories in Brazil, located in Sorocaba, Indaiatuba, and also in Porto Feliz itself.
Additionally, the plan includes the temporary suspension of contracts, known as lay-off, starting on October 21. This leave may last from 60 to 150 days.

According to the proposal, all workers earning up to R$ 10 thousand will have 100% of their salary maintained during the period.
