The Fatec selection process in Sorocaba (Sorocaba Technology College – José Crespo Gonzales), in the state of São Paulo, has published a new notice aimed at filling one position for a Higher Education teacher. Work at Fatec, one of the largest educational institutions in São Paulo.

The simplified Fatec selection process, managed by the State Center for Technological Education Paula Souza (CEETEPS), will be valid for one year from the date of publication of the validation in the State Official Gazette. The opportunity is for a teacher of the subject “Applied Technology in Advanced Manufacturing – Computer-Aided Manufacturing,” belonging to the area of Engineering and Production Technology / Mechanical and Metallurgical, in the Advanced Manufacturing course.
The remuneration per class hour is R$ 36.18 and the workload is 2 class hours, taught in the morning period, during the second academic semester. However, this workload may vary according to CEETEPS internal regulations, with a maximum limit of 200 hours.

Those interested in participating in the Fatec selection process must have a degree and a master’s or doctoral qualification in the subject area, with a minimum of three years of professional experience, or a degree and specialization, cumulatively, in the subject area, with a minimum of three years of professional experience, or a degree and specialization cumulatively in the subject area, with a minimum of five years of professional experience.

Apply for the Fatec Selection Process
Applications must be made exclusively online, through the Paula Souza Center website from September 3, 2024, until 11:59 PM on September 17, 2024. Upon accessing the page, click on the FATECs box at the top right, selection process for teachers, applications open, and then search for notice 003/37/2024.
It is necessary to meet the requirements for the position, provide the registration number on the Lattes Platform of CNPq or the link to the updated resume, and upload the Circumstantial Memorial (resume based on the Lattes Platform) and supporting documentation.
The Fatec selection process in Sorocaba will consist of the classificatory analysis of the Circumstantial Memorial, which must be prepared based on the Lattes resume and contain supporting documents of graduation, post-graduation, and professional experiences, as specified in the notice.
In case of a tie in the final score, the tie will be broken in the following order:
- Priority for candidates aged 60 or older;
- Next, for those who have proven to have served as jurors;
- Then, for those registered in the Federal Government’s CadÚnico.
If the tie in the selection process persists, the following criteria will be considered successively: higher score in Academic Background, Professional Experiences, Complementary Training in the subject area, Publications, Participation in Conferences, Workshops, and similar, and, finally, higher age.
Work at Fatec in 2024
The Technology Colleges (Fatec’s) are public higher education institutions of the State Center for Technological Education Paula Souza, being this a special regime autarchy linked and associated, by force of State Law, to the São Paulo State University “Julio de Mesquita Filho” – UNESP. The Fatec’s offer higher technology courses in various areas of knowledge.
The Fatecs were announced in São José do Rio Preto in the year 2000, during the administration of former governor Mário Covas, who promised their installation for 2001.
The initial project offered two Technology courses in Information Technology with an Emphasis on Business Management in the first semester of 2004 and the possibility of opening the course in Production Technology with an Emphasis on Agribusiness.
