With attractive starting salaries and vacancies in various areas, the Temporary Officers competition promises to be the gateway to a promising future. But the deadline is short, and the time to decide is now.

Navy extends registration period for temporary officers

According to the Brazilian Navy, the deadline for applications for the Temporary Officers competition has been extended until this Wednesday, January 8, 2025.

The competition offers 13 vacancies for professionals with higher education in various areas, including health, engineering, administration and social communication.

The initial salary is R$9.070,60, and those approved will work in administrative, technical and operational roles.

The vacancies are intended for professionals who wish to serve the Navy on a temporary basis, for a period of up to eight years.

Those approved will join as Midshipmen, with promotion to Second Lieutenant after six months and to Lieutenant Captain over time, depending on performance.

Who can participate?

According to the notice, interested parties must meet some requirements:

  • Being Brazilian by birth;
  • Be between 18 and under 41 years old by the date of incorporation;
  • Have a higher education degree in the area of ​​interest;
  • Be up to date with civil and military obligations;
  • Do not have a criminal record.

The competition also requires candidates to be physically and mentally fit for the position. The aptitude assessment is part of the selection process, which has multiple elimination stages.

The stages of the selection process

As reported by the Navy, the selection process will consist of seven distinct stages:

Objective proof: Scheduled for February 23, 2025, the test will feature 40 Portuguese language questions, of an eliminatory and classificatory nature;

proof of titles: Assessment of candidates’ academic and professional experience;

Verification of biographical data: Detailed analysis of the candidate's history;

health inspection: Mandatory medical examinations;

Physical Fitness Test: Includes activities such as running and swimming;

Document verification: Checking the documents required in the notice;

Designation for incorporation: Final selection for entry into the training course.
