Some service providers from Transpetro, a subsidiary of Petrobras, are protesting against the new adjustment proposal. understand

This week, the CPG received a complaint-denunciation from Transpetro seafarers regarding changes in the boarding scale regime and salary changes. According to information that reached our team, there was already a previous agreement established for there to be a salary reduction of between 10% and 15% in exchange for maintaining a work regime of 60x60. But due to some changes in the volume of Transpetro's operations, according to it, the proposed change is for 90×90 according to the unions. Understand:

Transperto scale proposal

“After the implementation of the 1×1 boarding system (60×60) throughout the fleet, the company analyzed the adherence of the boarding time to the characteristics of the trips carried out by its ships. Long-haul trips have increased significantly, now accounting for around 30% of all trips, contrary to the conditions at the beginning of the implementation of the new regime.

Such a change impacts on the surrender logistics for the fulfillment of the 60×60. Changing the boarding time to 90×90 increases the predictability of the crew’s rest schedule, enabling compliance with the established periods for boarding and rest, with gains for employees.” Excerpt taken from ACT-Mar 2019-2020.

The seafarers' complaint is that this scale of 60 days on board is too intense, 90 days or three months away from home and family is not conceivable, and there was already an agreement to reduce wages in exchange for maintaining the current scale.

Just below we will leave Transpetro's proposal in full. It is worth remembering that this text does not represent an opinion, only for informational purposes.

Transpetro presents a new proposal with advances to unions

The Company proposes a 0,5% readjustment in the Salary Tables and Meal Vouchers, readjustment in the Educational Benefits and University Youth Program according to the Petrobras table, 90×90 boarding and maintenance of benefits.

Transpetro met this Monday (25/11) with the National Confederation of Workers in Waterway and Air Transport, Fishing and Ports (Conttmaf), with the National Federation of Workers in Waterway and Related Transport (FNTTAA) and others affiliated maritime unions. The company presented advances in a new proposal for the negotiation of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (ACT) Mar 2019-2020.

During the meeting, the company highlighted that its sustainability of the Maritime Transport segment needs to be taken into account during the negotiations. He also recalled that it is important to check the benefits and remuneration package offered by the company, comparing them with the conditions offered by other companies in the sector.

Economic Proposal – The company proposed a 0,5% readjustment on the values of Salary Tables and Meal/Food Vouchers as of November 1, 2019.

Educational Benefits – Readjustment of Educational Benefits and the Young University Program from January 1, 2020, according to Petrobras tables

Change in Boarding Time – After implementing the 1×1 boarding regime across the entire fleet, the company analyzed the adherence of the boarding time to the characteristics of the trips carried out by its ships. Long-haul trips have increased significantly, now accounting for around 30% of all trips, contrary to the conditions at the beginning of the implementation of the new regime.

  • Such a change impacts on the surrender logistics for the fulfillment of the 60×60. Changing the boarding time to 90×90 increases the predictability of the crew's rest schedule, enabling compliance with the established periods for boarding and rest, with gains for employees.
  • It is worth noting that the 1×1 deployment process across the entire fleet is in the adjustment phase, given that the crew has not yet completed three complete cycles of boarding and disembarking. As a result, any analysis regarding the effective compliance with the boarding time will only be possible after the proposed adjustments and a longer period for the change to mature, taking into account that the implementation of a new regime requires adaptation from everyone, company and employees.

Maintenance of benefits – Transpetro is the logistics and transport company that offers the best and most attractive package of socioeconomic benefits among all those operating in the country's shipping sector. Contributing to improving the quality of life of seafarers and their dependents, the company has provided important achievements for the category over the years.

Benefits include daycare and education assistance, health plan and pharmacy benefit even for retirees and pension plan.
