Some Contracted Service Providers from Transpetro, a Subsidiary of Petrobras, Protest New Adjustment Proposal. Understand
This week, the CPG received a complaint-report from Transpetro sailors regarding changes in boarding scale regime and salary alterations. According to information that reached our team, there was already a previous agreement established for a salary reduction of 10% to 15% in exchange for maintaining a 60×60 work regime. However, due to some changes in the volume of operations at Transpetro, according to them, the proposed change is to 90×90 according to the unions. Understand:
Transpetro’s Scale Proposal
“After implementing the 1×1 (60×60) boarding regime across the fleet, the company analyzed the adherence of boarding time to the characteristics of the voyages made by its ships. Long-haul voyages have significantly increased, currently accounting for about 30% of all voyages, different from the conditions at the beginning of the implementation of the new regime.
This change impacts the logistics of rendering for the fulfillment of the 60×60. Changing the boarding time to 90×90 increases the predictability of the crew’s rest schedule, allowing the established periods for boarding and resting to be met, with benefits for the employees.” Excerpt taken from ACT-Mar 2019-2020.

The sailors’ complaint is that this scale of 60 days of boarding is very intense; 90 days or three months away from home and family is inconceivable, especially since there was already an agreement for a salary reduction in exchange for maintaining the current scale.
Below we will leave the full Transpetro proposal. It is worth remembering that this text does not represent an opinion, only informational.
Transpetro Presents New Proposal with Advances to Unions
The company proposes a 0.5% adjustment in Salary Tables and Meal Vouchers, as well as an adjustment in Educational Benefits and the Young University Program according to Petrobras tables, boarding of 90×90, and maintenance of benefits.
Transpetro met this Monday (11/25) with the National Confederation of Workers in Aquatic and Air Transport, Fishing, and Ports (Conttmaf), with the National Federation of Workers in Aquatic Transport and Similar (FNTTAA), and other affiliated maritime union entities. The company presented advances in a new proposal for negotiating the Collective Labor Agreement (ACT) Mar 2019-2020.
During the meeting, the company emphasized that the sustainability of the Maritime Transport segment needs to be taken into account during negotiations. It also reminded that it is important to check the benefits and compensation package offered by the company, comparing them with the conditions offered by other companies in the sector.
Economic Proposal – The company proposed a 0.5% adjustment on the values of the Salary Tables and Meal/Feeding Vouchers starting from November 1, 2019.
Educational Benefits – Adjustment of Educational Benefits and the Young University Program starting from January 1, 2020, according to Petrobras tables.
Change of Boarding Time – After implementing the 1×1 boarding regime across the fleet, the company analyzed the adherence of boarding time to the characteristics of the voyages made by its ships. Long-haul voyages have significantly increased, currently accounting for about 30% of all voyages, different from the conditions at the beginning of the implementation of the new regime.
- This change impacts the logistics of rendering for the fulfillment of the 60×60. Changing the boarding time to 90×90 increases the predictability of the crew’s rest schedule, allowing the established periods for boarding and resting to be met, with benefits for the employees.
- It is worth noting that the process of implementing the 1×1 regime across the fleet is in the adjustment phase, considering that the crew has not yet completed three full cycles of boarding and disembarking. Therefore, any analysis of the effective compliance with boarding time will only be possible after the proposed adjustments and a longer maturation period of the change, considering that the implementation of a new regime requires adaptation from both the company and the employees.
Maintenance of Benefits – Transpetro is the logistics and transportation company that offers the best and most attractive socioeconomic benefits package among all operating in the navigation sector in the country. Contributing to improving the quality of life for sailors and their dependents, the company has achieved significant gains for the category over the years.
Benefits include childcare and education assistance, health plan, and pharmacy benefits even for retirees, as well as pension plan.
