Huawei nova 16 line arrives with three models, high-capacity battery, OLED screens, and cameras up to 200 MP, in a strategy that differentiates versions by finish, screen features, and camera set, but keeps the same Kirin processor across the family.
Huawei introduced in China the nova 16 line, consisting of the nova 16, nova 16 Pro, and nova 16 Ultra models, with a 7,000 mAh battery, 100 W fast charging, and Kirin 9010S processor in all versions.
With OLED screens, high-resolution cameras, and gradual differences among the three devices, the family first arrives in the Chinese market, with no official release forecast in Brazil yet.
The trio was announced on June 1, 2026, and adopts a division by technical features, separating the models by screen, camera set, finish, and extra functions.

The Instagram you pay to use has arrived in Brazil: for just 10 reais a month, the new Instagram Plus offers a feature many people have dreamed of, viewing stories completely anonymously, in addition to keeping posts online for twice as long.
Within the line, the nova 16 occupies the initial configuration, the nova 16 Pro expands part of the technical specifications, and the nova 16 Ultra gathers the most extensive features disclosed by the manufacturer.
7,000 mAh battery and fast charging across the line
Among the characteristics shared by the three phones, the battery appears with a typical capacity of 7,000 mAh and a nominal capacity of 6,800 mAh, according to the specifications released by Huawei.
Wired charging of up to 100 W is also present across the family, provided the device is used with the compatible charging set indicated by the brand.
In the Ultra version, the technical specifications add wireless charging of up to 50 W and reverse wireless charging of 7.5 W, features not present in the standard model.
Huawei informs that the actual charging performance may vary depending on the usage scenario, accessory used, ambient temperature, and battery conditions.
The 7,000 mAh capacity is available in all three models, not restricted to the higher-priced version of the nova 16 line.
Still in the comparison between versions, the Ultra differentiates itself by including wireless charging and higher resistance certifications against water and dust.
OLED screens have up to 6,000 nits in the Pro and Ultra
The three phones use an OLED panel with Full HD+ resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate, although there are differences in size and technology between the versions.
In the nova 16 model, the screen is 6.68 inches; while the nova 16 Pro and nova 16 Ultra use a 6.84-inch panel with LTPO technology.
By allowing dynamic adjustment of the refresh rate, LTPO appears as one of the elements that separate the Pro and Ultra models from the standard configuration.
In the Pro and Ultra models, the maximum brightness reported reaches 6,000 nits, a feature declared by the manufacturer to improve visibility in environments with intense lighting.
Huawei also mentions high-frequency PWM dimming and wide color gamut reproduction, characteristics associated with the screens of models with superior specifications.
In the external design, the line adopts a flat screen, straight sides, and a prominent camera block on the back of the devices.
The rear module combines two circular areas and a space dedicated to the LED flash, with a spectral sensor in the Pro and Ultra versions.
Cameras reach 200 MP in the most complete models
The nova 16 comes with a 50 MP main camera and a 50 MP periscopic telephoto lens, in addition to a 50 MP front camera.
According to Huawei, the standard model offers 3.7x optical zoom, with possible variations in framing and results depending on the selected capture mode.
In the nova 16 Pro and nova 16 Ultra versions, the rear set includes a 200 MP main camera, 50 MP ultrawide, and 50 MP periscopic telephoto.
The manufacturer states that the 200 MP corresponds to the sensor parameter, not necessarily the final resolution of all images generated in each photography mode.
In the nova 16 Ultra, the photographic set also includes the “Red Maple” color lens, presented by Huawei as a feature aimed at assisting in tone reproduction.
On the front, the higher-priced model combines a 50 MP sensor and color lens, while the camera modes include artificial intelligence features, portraits, macro, HDR, and high-resolution capture.
Kirin 9010S, 12 GB of RAM, and HarmonyOS
The nova 16 line uses the Kirin 9010S chip in all three versions, always accompanied by 12 GB of RAM, according to the specifications released for the Chinese market.
In storage, the standard model starts at 256 GB and also offers a 512 GB option, while nova 16 Pro and nova 16 Ultra reach configurations of up to 1 TB.
The operating system reported by Huawei is HarmonyOS 6.1, present on the specification pages of the nova 16 family.
Among the additional features, the devices include NFC, Bluetooth 6.0, USB-C port, fingerprint reader, and connectivity functions linked to the manufacturer’s ecosystem.
There are also differences in resistance certifications, according to the positioning of each model within the line.
The nova 16 has an IP65 certification, while the nova 16 Ultra appears with IP68 and IP69, according to the technical data released by Huawei.
The manufacturer itself states that the protection against water and dust is not permanent and may decrease with the natural wear caused by the use of the device.
