The Internship Positions at Samarco, in the States of Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo, Are Open to All Technical and Higher Education Courses
Samarco has opened applications for its new Internship Program. This opportunity will be an initiative that will enhance the development of future professionals being trained for the job market, one of the company’s social responsibilities.
Samarco is a privately held company that operates in the mining sector, a joint venture owned by Vale and BHP, headquartered in Belo Horizonte (MG). The company has operational units in Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo. The main product developed by Samarco is iron ore pellets, a raw material for steel production by the steel industry. The company resumed its operations in a different way, with the introduction of new technologies and greater safety, aiming to generate lasting value for the territories where we operate.
Samarco emerged as a project in 1971, from the merger of Marcona Corporation and S/A Mineração Trindade (Samitri). While Marcona had experience in iron ore concentration and pelletizing, Samitri held the mining rights to the “Alegria Complex” in MG, rich in itabirite, with low iron content, which had never been explored in Brazil. By investing in technology, the companies would transform the itabirite, treated as waste, into a quality product, with iron content of about 70%.
