The Betim City Hall, in partnership with the Federal University of Viçosa (UFV) — Florestal Campus, launches the Qualifica Betim program, which provides places for free technical courses. The initiative aims to help young people and adults who want to improve their chances in the job market through quality technical education.
Enrollments Open for Free Technical Courses
The Qualifica Betim project, promoted by the Betim City Hall and UFV, offers places for free technical courses in various areas.
Enrollment will take place from March 31 to April 4, in person, at the Municipal Department of Education (Semed), located at Felipe dos Santos Street, 320, Downtown. Interested parties must attend the location between 5 PM and 9 PM to secure one of the spots.

Each course will have 40 spots and will be taught by UFV professors, ensuring high-quality education.
The courses will last for two years and will be held at the Municipal School Antônio D’Assis Martins, known as “Gigante,” from Monday to Thursday, from 6 PM to 10 PM.
Who Can Participate in the Free Technical Courses?
The partnership between the Betim City Hall and UFV opens opportunities for individuals over 18 years old.
Qualifica Betim also allows students to complete high school simultaneously with technical training.
Additionally, there are spots available for those who have already completed high school and seek additional qualifications.
Benefits Offered to Students
To encourage students to remain in the free technical courses, the Betim City Hall will offer a scholarship of R$ 2 per attended class hour, which can result in financial support of up to R$ 4,000 throughout the training.
Selection Process and Enrollment in Courses from the Betim City Hall
The selection of candidates for the courses from the Betim City Hall will be made by order of enrollment, with a limit of 120 enrolled per course, thus forming a waiting list.
Enrollment will occur from April 22 to 25, also at Semed, from 5 PM to 9 PM. Attendance of the convocated individuals is mandatory to secure the spot.
