The general marine electrical professional should have experience in troubleshooting and repair of electrical equipment and the ability to perform layout installations and electrical equipment. Knowledge of electrical theory, marine wiring practice, and the ability to read cable and wire color codes to accurately position wires and connect required.
Must be able to read blueprints, schematic diagrams and use electrical test equipment, hand and power tools. Must be able to work at heights in confined spaces. Must understand written and verbal instructions and listen to warning signs, read and understand safety instructions, regulations and notices.
