Mid-Level Maintenance Technician

Knowledge in:

• Preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance in substations
• Electrical testing on substation equipment
• Reading single-line diagrams, functional diagrams, and technical drawings
• Technical writing

Competencies:

• Conduct inspections, maintenance, and testing on substation yard equipment
• Maintenance/Replacement of electromechanical equipment
• Complete reports and technical forms
• Support operations

Requirements:

• Technical degree or diploma in electrical engineering, electromechanical engineering, or related fields.
• Active CREA registration

Senior Maintenance Technician 

Knowledge in:

• Preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance in conventional and SF6 “CASTLE” substations
• Philosophies and functions of protection and control systems in electrical systems
• Electrical testing on substation equipment
• Reading single-line diagrams, functional diagrams, and technical drawings
• Technical writing

Competencies:

• Conduct inspections, maintenance, and testing on substation yard equipment
• Maintenance/Replacement of electromechanical equipment
• Data collection from oscillography in digital relays and disturbance recorders
• Complete reports and technical forms
• Support operations

Requirements:

• Technical degree or diploma in electrical engineering, electromechanical engineering, or related fields
• Preferred experience in maintenance of conventional and SF6 “CASTLE” substations
• Active CREA registration
