Volkswagen Polo Track: Specific Complaints From Owners
Noises In The Brakes And Suspension
“Thudding” in the front wheels when braking is a common complaint.
Some reports claim that there are play in the brake pads, and that dealerships only suggest adding clips instead of replacing the parts.
Problems with noise in the suspension appear right from the first uses, even in new vehicles.
Owners mention noises in the dampers or bushings, a noise that persists after inspections.
“I have owned a Polo Track 2023/2024 for six months. Despite the low mileage, it already shows thudding in the front wheels when braking (sic). I sought an authorized dealer in my area, where a problem with the brake pads was confirmed. [At the dealership] they told me that there was play in the wheel pads and all dealerships are instructed not to replace them, but to put clips on each pad,” stated Fernando, a vehicle owner in Olinda (PE).
Failures In The Injection System And Engine Power
Another significant portion of the reports refers to power loss associated with injection system failures.
Appearance of “EPC” light on the dashboard and defects in the third cylinder are mentioned as examples.
In documented cases, the problem arises right after purchasing the new car, which worries those who expected consistent performance from the start.

“On March 20, 2024, I purchased a vehicle from the Volkswagen brand, a Polo Track, zero km (…). On the same day, the vehicle began to present the following operational problem: engine with a defect in the third cylinder, reduced engine power, injection system failure, EPC failure presented on the dashboard,” explains consumer Armando, from Porto Alegre (RS).
Aspects That Still Please
Despite the problems, some people appreciate positive points of the Volkswagen Polo Track.
Standard items like four airbags, stability and traction controls, power steering, and air conditioning are among the praises.
The aspirated 1.0 MPI engine is pointed out as part of the basic proposal, and even with complaints, there is recognition that it delivers adequate performance for urban use.
The Volkswagen Polo is a strategic car for the brand in Brazil, occupying the space of the former Gol and maintaining its status as one of the best-selling hatches in the country.
However, the main problems reported by owners show that there are important points to be improved.
Nonetheless, the model remains competitive in the market due to its more affordable price proposition, good performance in urban traffic, and the brand’s tradition.
