Citroën C3 2026 starts from R$ 76,990, has a campaign with installments of R$ 999, 1.0 Firefly engine, 315-liter trunk, and standard safety package.

For R$ 999 per month for six years, with a 40% down payment, it’s already possible to drive away with the cheapest hatchback in Brazil. The Citroën C3 2026 comes with a digital dashboard in selected versions, stability control, hill start assist, and a 315-liter trunk, even in the most accessible configurations of the line. In March 2026, Citroën launched a campaign in partnership with Banco PSA that offers the New C3 in 72 fixed installments starting from R$ 999, valid for all versions of the line and available at the 171 Citroën dealerships across Brazil. The minimum down payment is 40% of the vehicle’s value, and the remainder is financed over six years of equal installments.

For those buying their first new car or wanting to switch models without committing more than a thousand reais per month, the offer is appealing. Especially because the C3 directly competes with Renault Kwid, Fiat Mobi, and Fiat Argo in a segment where many consumers still don’t place the Citroën hatchback among their top choices.

Citroën C3 2026 is the cheapest hatchback in Brazil and competes with Kwid, Mobi, and Argo

The Citroën C3 arrived in Brazil as a national product, produced in Porto Real, Rio de Janeiro, with the proposal of a compact hatchback, distinctive design, and above-average interior space. For years, the model carried a reputation for expensive maintenance and a small network, a perception mainly linked to previous generations.

With Stellantis, the group that brings together Citroën, Fiat, Peugeot, Jeep, and other brands, Citroën’s Brazilian operation was reformulated. Maintenance costs dropped, and the brand itself began to announce that the first three revisions cost less than R$ 2 per day.

Today, the Citroën C3 is the cheapest new car in Brazil at list price, ahead of the Renault Kwid, Fiat Mobi, and Fiat Argo. With the campaign of 72 fixed installments of R$ 999, it also becomes one of the lowest installment options in the popular segment for those who can make the 40% down payment.

Citroën C3’s 1.0 Firefly Engine Delivers Up to 75 hp and Efficient Consumption

The C3’s engine is the 1.0 Firefly flex three-cylinder, shared with Fiat models such as Argo, Mobi, and Fastback. It is a well-known powertrain in the Brazilian market, developed for entry-level cars and optimized for urban consumption.

With ethanol, the engine delivers up to 75 hp at 6,250 rpm and 10.7 kgfm of torque. With gasoline, the power is 71 hp at 6,000 rpm, with 10 kgfm of torque. The transmission is a five-speed manual in the 1.0 naturally aspirated versions.

According to the Brazilian Vehicle Labeling Program, the C3 1.0 achieves 13.2 km/l in the city and 14.5 km/l on the highway with gasoline. With ethanol, the figures are 9.3 km/l in the city and 10.3 km/l on the highway, reinforcing the model’s appeal for those seeking low consumption in a popular car.

Citroën C3 1.0 fuel consumption helps reduce monthly running costs

In practice, for those who drive 1,500 km per month mainly in the city, fueling with gasoline, the monthly fuel cost is around R$ 340, considering an average price close to R$ 6.10 per liter. It is a competitive operational cost within the compact hatchback segment.

The 2026 line also brought a real improvement in efficiency. Citroën reformulated the tire composition, now with lower rolling resistance, which helps reduce consumption, internal noise, and wear.

This update contributed to its inclusion in the MOVER program, which grants incentives to vehicles with better energy efficiency ratings. In the entry-level segment, every gain in fuel consumption directly impacts the driver’s pocket.

Citroën C3 2026 versions have prices from R$ 76,990 to R$ 103,990

The 2026 Citroën C3 line has five versions: Live, Live Pack, Feel, XTR, and You!. Prices start at R$ 76,990 for the Live version and go up to R$ 103,990 for the You! version, the top-of-the-line model with a turbo engine and CVT automatic transmission.

With installments starting from R$ 999 per month, a 75 hp 1.0 engine, a 7-inch TFT digital panel, and standard stability control, the Citroën C3 is the cheapest hatchback in Brazil in 2026 and still leaves Kwid, Argo, and Mobi behind in embedded technology

The C3 Live version includes air conditioning, electric power steering, front power windows, electric locks, electronic stability control, traction control, hill start assist, indirect tire pressure monitoring, front airbags, ABS brakes, ISOFIX, and an onboard computer.

The Live Pack version adds a 10.25-inch Citroën Connect Touchscreen multimedia center, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a rearview camera, rear parking sensor, and two USB Type-C ports for the second row.

Citroën C3 Live Pack, Feel, XTR, and You expand technology and equipment

The C3 Feel adds a rearview camera, LED DRL, 15-inch alloy wheels painted in Antra gray, power windows on all four doors with One Touch function, alarm, and electrically adjustable mirrors. It is a more complete intermediate configuration for those seeking comfort without reaching the top of the line.

The C3 XTR bets on an adventurous look, with mixed-use tires, 15-inch darkened wheels, plastic side protections, exclusive stickers, and a 7-inch TFT digital panel. The proposal is to give the compact hatchback a more robust appearance.

The C3 You! is the top-of-the-line version, equipped with a 1.0 T200 turbo flex engine of up to 130 hp, a CVT transmission with seven simulated gears, digital air conditioning, a 7-inch TFT digital panel, and a 10.25-inch multimedia system.

315-liter trunk is one of the Citroën C3’s advantages over rivals

The Citroën C3 has a 315-liter trunk, a standard NET measurement that excludes the spare tire space. The number is noteworthy because it surpasses the Renault Kwid, with 290 liters, and the Fiat Mobi, with 235 liters.

The Fiat Argo reaches 327 liters, but starts at a higher price, in the R$ 92,990 range. In addition to the volume, the C3’s trunk has a wide opening and a flat floor, which makes it easier to load suitcases, boxes, and bulky purchases.

The 180 mm ground clearance also helps on bumpy roads, ditches, and high speed bumps. This combination reinforces Citroën’s proposal to sell the C3 as a hatchback with a higher stance and more versatile urban use.

Citroën C3 Dimensions Make the Hatch Seem Bigger Than Its Price Suggests

With a length of 3,981 mm and a wheelbase of 2,540 mm, the C3 is compact in external size but makes good use of its internal space. The wheelbase favors the comfort of rear passengers.

In comparison, the Renault Kwid has a 2,422 mm wheelbase, while the Fiat Mobi has 2,334 mm. This helps explain why the C3 delivers a more spacious cabin feel than some direct rivals.

A width of 1,733 mm and a height of 1,587 mm complete a package with a more robust appearance. This is where the brand’s positioning comes from, treating the C3 as a “hatch with an SUV soul,” an expression used in the line’s communication.

Citroën C3 Maintenance Improved with Shared Engine and Stellantis Network

One of the historical reasons that deterred C3 buyers was the perception of expensive maintenance and hard-to-find parts. This problem partly existed in previous generations, especially in versions with the 1.6 engine and AL4 automatic transmission.

The current C3 uses a 1.0 Firefly engine and manual transmission, components shared with Fiat Argo and Mobi. This improves parts availability and facilitates service at multi-brand workshops, which are already familiar with the mechanical assembly.

The Citroën network has 171 dealerships in Brazil, a smaller number than brands like Fiat and Chevrolet, but sufficient for major urban centers. Outside large cities, the shared mechanics with Stellantis models reduce some of the maintenance risk.

Citroën C3 Financing in 72 Installments Requires 40% Down Payment

The offer of 72 fixed installments of R$ 999 starts with the C3 Live version, priced at R$ 76,990. With a 40% down payment, equivalent to R$ 30,796, the financed balance is R$ 46,194.

Distributed over 72 months, the amount results in the installments announced by the campaign with Banco PSA. The advantage lies in predictability: fixed installment, without index correction, throughout the contract.

The warning is the same as for any long-term financing. The longer the term, the higher the total effective cost paid in interest tends to be. Still, for those with a down payment available and wanting a low installment, the C3 begins to compete aggressively in the popular car market.
