The Federal Institute of Espírito Santo (Ifes), in partnership with the Department of Continuing Education, Youth and Adult Literacy, Diversity and Inclusion (SECADI), is now accepting registrations for the Initial and Continuing Education Course (FIC) “Special Education from the Perspective of Inclusive Education.” This notice, number 128/2024, offers 4,800 spots aimed at Basic Education teachers, with the goal of enhancing their skills and knowledge in inclusive pedagogical practices.
The main objective of the free and online course is to train Basic Education teachers to develop inclusive pedagogical practices aligned with Special Education policies. The total course duration is 120 hours, conducted entirely in the distance learning format, using the Virtual Learning Environment (AVA). The activities include theoretical and practical modules, combining synchronous (real-time) and asynchronous classes, as well as assessments and the creation of a final product.

The free course will be held online (Distance Learning), allowing teachers from across the state of Espírito Santo to participate without the need for physical travel to a specific campus. Selection Processes for the Free Course
If the number of applicants exceeds the number of available spots, the filling of the spots will be done through an electronic draw, ensuring the impartiality of the process. Selected candidates will have their documentation evaluated, and only those who meet the criteria established in the notice will have their registrations confirmed.
Registration Requirements
To participate in the selection process of the Federal Institute, the candidate must be a Basic Education teacher, with a degree in any area recognized by the MEC. Additionally, it is necessary to reside in the state of Espírito Santo, have access to a computer with internet, and possess skills in using these technologies. The registration process requires the submission of documents such as a degree diploma and proof of teaching affiliation.
