The Brazilian Army announced the opening of applications for the admission competition of the Army Supplementary Formation School (ESFCEx). There are 167 vacancies for higher education, with 45 vacancies for Military Chaplains and Complementary Corps and 122 for Health Service.
About the Army Health and Supplementary Formation School (ESFCEx)
The Army Supplementary Formation School (ESFCEx) was created on April 5, 1988, in the city of Salvador (BA), being a military educational institution that prepares human resources of both sexes, particularly in the field of military administration, in order to contribute to the improvement of administrative procedures within the Army.
The ESFCEx aims to meet the needs of Military Organizations with personnel of higher education to, primarily, perform complementary activities in the areas of Administration, Accounting Sciences, Social Communication, Law, Economics, Nursing, Statistics, Pharmacy, Computer Science, Teaching, Dentistry, Psychology, Pedagogy, and Veterinary Medicine.

The ESFCEx has facilities to accommodate students who are completing the officer training course of the Army Complementary Corps and the Health Service in the areas of Dentistry and Pharmacy.
In 1992, the ESFCEx became the first officer school of the Brazilian Army to accept females. The Maria Quitéria class had 49 women and was a significant advancement for the time.
Complementary Corps and Military Chaplain
The competition for admission to these positions has 45 vacancies. For the positions of Complementary Corps and Evangelical Chaplain, candidates of both male and female sex are allowed, while for the positions of Catholic Chaplain, only males are permitted. Furthermore, some positions require an age of 20 to 40 years, and others up to 32 years, until December 31 of the year of enrollment, as stated in article 141 of the announcement. It is also necessary to have a higher education degree in the areas disclosed in the announcement.

Health Service
The admission competition for these positions has 122 vacancies. For the Health Service competition at ESFCEX, candidates of either sex are allowed, with maximum ages ranging from 32 to 34 years, depending on the position, as stated in article 141 of the announcement. It is also necessary to have a higher education theological training degree and to be a Catholic priest or an evangelical pastor.
