DOF Management AS announced, through its official news vehicle, on August 16, offshore vacancies to work on projects in Rio de Janeiro. The professionals required today by DOF are Moço de Deck and Electronic Technician, all the details will be below.
Last month, an unprecedented episode happened, the ROV of the multinational DOF Subsea, was dragged by the force of the surf to a beach on the coast of Rio de Janeiro. The area had to be isolated to ensure the safety of residents and bathers.
About Rio de Janeiro offshore vacancies
Deck boy
- Waterway Training, STCW II/5
- Experience as a deckhand on offshore vessels; Desirable experience in PLSV, Light Construction Vessel,
- Drilling Ships or Maritime Units;
- TBS-1 certificate
- EBCP Certificate
- Desirable certificates: CESS, CERR, MCIA, HUET, Confined Space, Work and Rescue at Height, Hot Work, Cargo Handling, Safety and Cargo Operations and Crane Certificate Level I.
- Desirable experience with rescue boats.

Electrotechnical technician

- Technician in Electronics, Electrotechnics or similar course.
- Intermediary English
- Desirable experience on AHTS, PLSV or more modern vessels
- CBSP Certificate
- Desirable Certificates NR-33 (minimum 16h), NR-35, CERR, CESS

- Comply with what is described in the “Standing Orders of the Chief Engineer”;
- Keep all appliances, electrical and lighting installations working properly; Inspect the communication systems, lighting, cranes, windlasses, all electrical and electronic automation and control equipment in advance, always keeping them in good working order;
- Perform scheduled maintenance for facilities related to its activity and due repairs
