Nissin’s New Factory in Paraná Will Have R$ 1 Billion in Investments, Create 550 Jobs, and Occupy 413 Thousand m². Production Starts in 2027 with Focus on Exports.
With an investment of R$ 1 billion, a total area of over 413 thousand square meters, and an expected generation of more than 550 direct jobs, Nissin Foods’ new factory in Ponta Grossa (PR) is finally becoming a reality and reinforces Paraná’s strength as an industrial and logistical hub in southern Brazil. The project, announced a few years ago, has just entered the advanced phase of construction and is expected to be completed by April 2027.
The project is one of the largest industrial investments by the Japanese multinational in Brazil and was made possible with the support of the Paraná Competitivo program, which has attracted over R$ 57 billion in private investments to the state since 2019. The new facility will be responsible for producing the classic Nissin instant noodles in packages and popular cup noodles, supplying both the domestic market and exports to other countries in Latin America.
Strategic Location and State-of-the-Art Structure of Nissin Foods’ New Factory
The unit is being built in an area along the PR-151 highway, between the municipalities of Ponta Grossa and Castro, at km 164. The location was chosen for its easy logistical access, proximity to distribution centers, and adequate infrastructure for large-scale operations.

Free buses in Brazil: with a new law approved in the Chamber, cities will be able to use Cide Combustíveis funds to reduce fares, create free rides, and ensure toll exemptions for public transport while more than 170 municipalities have already adopted benefits.
The complex will occupy 413,2 thousand square meters, with 68,2 thousand m² of built area, featuring cutting-edge technology and modern industrial automation processes. The expectation is that the factory will operate with high production efficiency, significantly increasing Nissin’s national capacity.
Job Creation and Training of Local Workforce
More than just boosting the economy with one billion reais, Nissin’s project has a direct impact on the local labor market. Initially, 550 direct jobs will be created, with the possibility of expansion if new investments are confirmed.
The state government, through Invest Paraná and the Treasury Department, has also committed to supporting the training of the workforce needed to meet the factory’s demands, offering training and partnerships with technical and vocational education institutions.
According to Eduardo Bekin, president of Invest Paraná, Nissin’s project already stands out as one of the most ambitious in the region.
“We are talking about an investment that combines technology, job creation, logistical development, and international projection. Moreover, new investments are already being considered, which could mean an expansion of the scope even before the inauguration,” he stated.
Nissin Strengthens Roots in Brazil
Present in the country since 1981, Nissin Foods already has a solid national operation with factories in Ibiúna (SP) and Glória de Dourados (MS). The new plant in Ponta Grossa represents a strategic step to decentralize production and get closer to consumer markets in the south of the country, as well as enhancing exports.
During a visit to the construction site, Paraná’s Vice Governor, Darci Piana, highlighted the importance of partnerships with international companies. “Nissin’s presence in the state reinforces Paraná’s role as an attractive destination for foreign investments. It is a recognition of our economic stability, infrastructure, and quality of life,” he stated.
Nissin does not rule out expanding the original project of the Ponta Grossa factory even before its completion. According to the government, there are ongoing requests for expanding the production line and establishing new sectors within the same area.
This movement shows that the unit could transform, in the medium term, into one of the largest and most important Nissin factories outside Japan, consolidating Brazil as a platform for exporting the brand’s industrialized food to the continent.
