The Drilling Contract Is Intended for the Laggan Field Located West of the Shetland Islands at Depths of Up to 650m

The Stena Don is currently working for Total E & P UK on an exploration well that is also located west of the Shetland Islands. The duration of the contract is approximately 90 days with potential options and is set to start in mid-March 2019. Stena Drilling is extremely pleased to continue its successful relationship with Total E & P UK Ltd in this campaign. Following the conclusion of the 2018 campaign, Stena Drilling decided to upgrade the Stena Don with the installation of an eight-point mooring system.

The unit is expected to arrive at the selected shipyard, Damen Verolme Rotterdam, by the end of this year and is expected to stay there for about three months. Stena Don and the team have delivered a safe and high-performance operation for Total E & P UK so far this year, and we expect to continue with the same top-class performance in the UKCS.

Stena Drilling Is Hiring
