São Paulo Dealership Launches Unmissable Promotion: Discover Which Store Is Selling the Caoa Chery iCar 0 km with an Incredible Discount of R$ 40 Thousand in the National Automotive Market!
The electric vehicle market has undergone a significant transformation since 2023. Previously, brands charged exorbitant prices, taking advantage of high profit margins due to the novelty of electric vehicles in Brazil. Now, a dealership in São Paulo is revolutionizing the sector by offering the Caoa Chery iCar 0 km for less than R$ 80 thousand, even surpassing the cheapest combustion models. This change marks a new era of accessibility for electric vehicles in the country.
SP Dealership Offers R$ 40 Thousand Discount on the Caoa Chery iCar 0 km
Now, the most common news stories involving the electric vehicle segment always include huge discounts off the list prices, as is the case with the Renault Megane E-Tech, which is being sold with an incredible R$ 80 thousand discount. However, another price cut that has been drawing attention this week does not involve a brand, but rather a specific dealership.
A commercial was posted on the social network TikTok, specifically on the Top Motor BR channel, advertising that the Caoa Chery dealership in Mogi Mirim was selling some units of the Caoa Chery iCar 0 km, the electric car from the Chinese brand, for only R$ 79,990. According to information from Mobiauto, the dealership confirmed that the price is valid for 15 units in stock, all in gray and with the 2022/2023 model year.

The verified seller stated that there were 37 units in stock, but with the announcement of the Caoa Chery iCar promotion, 22 units had already been sold, leaving only 15 for sale. It is worth mentioning that all the 0 km units were registered in December of last year and all have the IPVA 2024 already paid, all with 8 years of warranty or 120 thousand km.
Possible Reason for the Drop in Electric Vehicle Prices
The official price of the Chery model is R$ 119,990, meaning the discount offered by the dealership in the interior of São Paulo is R$ 40 thousand. Since the arrival of the BYD Dolphin Mini, the electric vehicle market has readjusted, causing several vehicles to become cheaper.
The Renault Kwid E-Tech even had its price readjusted this year from R$ 123,490 to R$ 99,990 just before the arrival of the BYD Dolphin Mini. The Caoa Chery iCar was launched in 2022, but even before the arrival of the BYD compact, it struggled to gain traction in sales.

In its first year, it registered a total of 785 units, while now from January to June 2024, the Caoa Chery iCar sold only 30 cars, giving it a poor average of 5 units sold per month. With the comparison made from July, this number is expected to rise reasonably with the depletion of the 2022/2023 stock.
Meet the Caoa Chery iCar
The Chery iCar was one of the first affordable electric cars to be sold in Brazil, alongside the JAC E-JS1. Being the smallest electric car in the country, the model has only 3.20 m in length (40 cm shorter than a Fiat Mobi, for example), 1.67 m in width, 1.55 m in height, and just 2.15 m in wheelbase or 15 cm shorter than a Mobi. Called the Chery QQ in China, it is curious that the subcompact hatchback has an aluminum structure, while its body is made of plastic.
With a weight of 995 kg, the model performs reasonably well in terms of agility, as its electric motor delivers 61 hp of power and 15.3 kgfm of torque.
The acceleration is reported to be 12.9 seconds, with a maximum speed electronically limited to 120 km/h. The battery used is 30.4 kWh and, according to Inmetro’s PBEV standard, allows for a maximum range of 197 km.
