Chery announced the official pre-sale of the new electric Chery QQ this week in China. The urban electric car will be offered by Chery in three different trim versions, with prices ranging from 29.900 to 43.900 yuan (about R$26.000 to R$38.200). The cheapest electric car on the automotive market will be rivaled by the GM model called the Wuling Hongguang Mini EV, which is currently the country's best-selling electric car.

Despite the pre-sale announcement of the new Chery QQ as a launch, Chery's electric car model is nothing new, as the company had released some time ago the first official photos of the Chery QQ and also the technical sheet with all the specifications of the electric car.

It now remains to wait for the announcement of the official launch after the pre-sale phase. Chery said that the official launch of the country's cheapest electric car is by the end of the year. During this pre-sale phase, more data and other photos of the versions made by the company will be released.

The Chery QQ, despite having the same 'square' pattern as most models available on the automotive market, has several particularities, both in appearance and in control technology.

The design of the front part of Chery's electric car is very common to new electric cars and its rear part has the brand's central logo, where the vehicle's charging port is located, similar to its GM competitor. The headlights on both sides are made in a polygonal shape and the taillights are 'U' shaped, with a very attractive visual effect.

The car measures around 2.980 mm in length, 1.496 mm in width and 1.637 mm in height and has a wheelbase of just 1.960 mm. All versions created and made available by Chery to the automotive market were made with space for four occupants.

Inside the vehicle, the equipped steering wheel has multifunctional functions, gearshift with selector knob, color LCD panel installed, Bluetooth connection, air conditioning and depending on the version the customer purchases, it may come equipped with a tire pressure monitor. The entire electrical system of today's cheapest vehicle is equipped with a 9,6 kWh or 13,9 kWh lithium-ion battery, with a range of 120 or 170 km and charging time that can vary between 6 hours and 8 hours, respectively. Chery guarantees that the battery's lifetime is 8 years or 120.000 km, in addition to the electric car's lifetime warranty of 3 years or 100.000 km.
