MEC Offers A Free And Certified Course On The Paris 2024 Olympics. Sign Up And Take Advantage Of This Opportunity To Enrich Your Classes!

Have you ever imagined becoming an expert on the Paris 2024 Olympics without spending a dime? The Ministry of Education (MEC) has launched an unmissable course that promises to transform Physical Education teachers into true connoisseurs of the Olympic Games. But there’s a surprising detail: the course is completely free and also offers a certificate!

According to MEC, the course “Olympics Paris 2024 at Your School” was developed by the Impulsiona Educação Esportiva program. Aimed primarily at Physical Education teachers, the course seeks to present the characteristics of the host city, the historical relationship of Paris with the Olympics, and to allow the recognition of the elements and symbols that make up the 2024 edition of the Games.

Course Structure

The course, which has a total duration of 4 hours, is composed of four well-structured chapters:

  1. Getting to Know Paris: Explores the characteristics of the host city and its historical importance.
  2. Olympism in France: Covers Paris’s relationship with the Olympics and its trajectory in sports.
  3. Visual Identity and Symbols: Analyzes the visual and symbolic elements of the 2024 Games.
  4. Ceremonies and Competitions: Details the opening and closing ceremonies, as well as the competitions.

Course Objectives

According to MEC, the main objectives of the course are:

  • Understand the characteristics of Paris and its historical relationship with the Olympics.
  • Recognize the elements and symbols of the 2024 edition of the Games.
  • Develop themed activities about the Olympics, aligned with the National Common Curricular Base (BNCC).

MEC Methodology And Accessibility

The course is conducted remotely, using the AVAMEC platform to present the content. This format privileges student autonomy, allowing them to set their own study routine. According to MEC, the course is self-instructive, meaning that the content is self-explanatory and there is no supervision from a moderator.

Mandatory Activities And Certification

To complete the course, participants must:

  • Read all the material within 30 consecutive days.
  • Respond to the satisfaction survey.

After completion, the certificate will be available for download in the “My Documents” menu of the platform.

MEC emphasizes that the certificates are endorsed by the Instituto Singularidades, one of the largest teacher training colleges in the country.

According to MEC, the course is primarily intended for Physical Education teachers and lead teachers. Those interested in other courses from the Impulsiona program can access the website: https://impulsiona.org.br/cursos/.

Seize this unique opportunity offered by MEC and transform your classes with the knowledge acquired about the Paris 2024 Olympics.
