Albioma, which has stood out in the production of electrical and thermal energy from renewable sources such as biomass, solar, and geothermal energy, has implemented the innovative automation technology from iSystems on its drill ship Norbe IX. This development aims to improve efficiency and safety in drilling by automating operations on the drill floor.

Implementation of Automation Technology
Albioma applied the Leaf solution from iSystems, an advanced artificial intelligence for multivariable process control, resulting in more efficient energy generation. “iSystems’ technology brought more stability and control to the process, reducing variability and improving setpoints, which increases benefits”, said Paulo Schmidt, Corporate Operations Manager at Albioma. The implementation reduced pressure variability by 48% and temperature variability by 30%, optimizing parameters and significantly improving steam quality.
