A Revolutionary Discovery, Directly from the Wealth of the Caatinga, Promises to Transform Brazilian Agriculture: The Hydratus.

A new technology against drought that promises to improve the performance of Brazilian crops is about to hit the market.

It is the Hydratus, an innovative biological inoculant developed by the expertise of Embrapa Corn and Sorghum (MG) in a strategic partnership with the company Bioma.

The expectation is for significant relief for rural producers facing the challenges of water scarcity.

Hydratus: The Natural Solution for Resilient Crops

The Hydratus is much more than just a product; it is a powerful ally for sustainable agriculture.

Produced with the bacteria Bacillus subtilis, naturally found in arid environments like the Caatinga, the inoculant was formulated to protect plants in conditions of water scarcity and also stimulate their growth.

This means that, even in scenarios with little rain, plants have a greater capacity to resist and continue developing.

But the benefits don’t stop there. The Hydratus is also capable of improving the performance of irrigated crops, optimizing water use and maximizing productivity.

This dual functionality makes it a valuable tool for various cultivation systems, whether in rainfed regions or in areas that rely on irrigation.

Proven Results in the Field: More Bags Per Hectare

The effectiveness of the Hydratus is not just theoretical; it has been proven in practical studies.

Research conducted in commercial areas showed impressive results: a increase of up to 7.7 bags per hectare in corn production and 4.8 bags per hectare in soybean crops treated with the bioproduct

These numbers represent a substantial gain for the producer, directly impacting their profitability and the country’s food security.

This ability to generate significant gains in productivity while providing drought resistance positions the Hydratus as a high-value natural input.

It is a biological and sustainable response to the climate and economic challenges faced by farmers.

Official Launch: When and Where to Meet the Hydratus

The agricultural community and those interested in innovation already have a date set to get to know this promising technology up close.

The launch of the Hydratus will take place on August 5 during the Congress of the National Association of Agricultural and Veterinary Input Distributors

The event will be a crucial opportunity for producers, technicians, and distributors to understand the product’s potential and how it can be integrated into agricultural practices.

With the Hydratus, Brazilian science, through Embrapa, reinforces its leading role in developing solutions that combine productivity and sustainability, transforming a natural resource from our flora into an essential tool for the national agribusiness.
