The Agreement Between Embraer and BNDES Strengthens Brazilian Presence in the Global Market and Boosts Investment Generation in the Country
The National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) provided a financing of R$ 1.1 billion for the export of eight Embraer commercial jets to the American company Azorra. These aircraft, from the E2 family, include the E190-E2 and E195-E2 models, and are scheduled for delivery between December 2024 and 2025. The partnership strengthens Embraer’s position in the global market, especially in the aircraft leasing sector, where Azorra is a standout, according to the website Terra.
Azorra, based in Florida, is involved in the acquisition and leasing of aircraft for commercial airlines. This is the third financing approved by BNDES for the export of E2 aircraft to the American company, consolidating a strategic relationship that benefits both sides.
Innovative Insurance Model Increases Financial Security
To ensure the success of the operation, the financing includes an innovation: a private credit insurance of the ANPI type (Aircraft Non-Payment Insurance). This insurance, offered by Itasca MGA, fully covers the credit throughout the operation period, minimizing financial risks.

A BYD Dolphin driver can travel 1,500 km per month with recharging compensated by just 4 solar panels of 550 W, according to a calculation made in Recife that estimates a consumption of 181.5 kWh and a cost of R$ 180 at the outlet.
The debt was contracted in dollars, with the conversion to reais made at the time of payments, protecting Embraer’s financial flow and generating foreign currency for Brazil. This model not only enhances the international competitiveness of the company but also ensures security for investors.
Impact on the Market and Investment Generation
In addition to strengthening Embraer in the global scenario, the financing will have direct effects on the Brazilian economy. It will contribute to the generation and maintenance of highly specialized jobs, as well as strengthen the presence of companies in Asian markets and in aircraft leasing contracts.
According to Aloizio Mercadante, president of BNDES, the institution has already financed the export of 56 Embraer aircraft in 2024, with sales made to the Americas, Europe, and Asia. “The bank supports both commercial jets and innovative initiatives, such as the flying car, which highlights technological production in Brazil,” he stated.
