China's flying car has been unveiled as a new technology that promises to revolutionize the market. Learn how the Chinese car produced by Xpeng AeroHT works.

Xpeng AeroHT officially launched its modular flying car late last year. This expensive flying car from China consists of a ground transporter, a sort of Cybertruck with an aircraft carrier, and an aircraft. The pre-sale of the model with new technology started in late 2024 with a price tag of under 2 million yuan, equivalent to R$ 1,5 million. Deliveries of the model are scheduled for 2026.

A little bit of history about the company responsible for the flying car

The division was founded in 2013 with financial backing from Xpeng CEO He Xiaopeng with the goal of developing a true Chinese flying car. However, its vehicles looked anything but a car. In 2021, the company announced its new technology: a 6th-generation flying car. Xpeng planned to make it a Chinese street-flying car with deployable propellers on the roof.

However, it is very difficult to lock the propellers properly to prevent damage from vibrations when the car is driving on the road. So the company started its China flying car project with Land Aircraft Carrier, which was first announced in October 2023. Now, this new technology car has made its live debut in China.

As mentioned earlier, the Chinese car is separated by two main elements. The first is the carrier, which is 5,5 meters long, 2 meters wide and 2 meters high. It maintains a minimalist style with a blocky body shape and smooth A-pillars that merge into the roofline. The carrier features flush door handles and plastic trim on the lower body.

China's flying car can handle up to 6 flights

According to the company, this aircraft carrier is an extended-range electric aircraft based on an 800V high-voltage platform. It has an internal combustion engine under the hood, which does not transfer any torque to the wheels.

Instead, it provides power to electric motors and a battery. Being a new technology, the mixed autonomy of this aircraft carrier reaches 1.000 km (CLTC). Thanks to the 800V system, it can charge the aircraft from 30 to 80% in 18 minutes.

Talking about China's flying car, it looks like a drone and can automatically land and dock at the base. To fit in the "trunk", it folds its propellers. With a full load, the new technology can withstand between 5 and 6 flights. China car supports manual and automatic two driving modes.

When will China's flying car be available??

China's car made its first public flight in Zhuhai Air Show in November 2024. Its pre-sale began at the end of last year with a price below 2 million yuan (R$ 1,5 million).

However, mass production and deliveries of the โ€œCybertruckXpeng's modular assembly line will begin in 2026, as the brand does not even have an assembly line. Its construction was scheduled for September 2024, with trial production in July 2025. The planned annual capacity is more than 10 units.

It is worth noting that flying cars do not have a proper set of laws in any country. However, it is still difficult to imagine that Xpeng AeroHT will find 10 customers ready to buy this vehicle and satisfy the production volume of the company's future factory. It is a niche product. Thus, the future of the land-based aircraft carrier is unclear, but it is expected to surprise us by becoming a successful project.

China is always ahead, revolutionizing, while Brazil watches and finds fault without doing anything to compete.

You could move to China since it's so good!
Maybe you haven't been informed yet, but Embraer, despite being in the country of taxes, is in full swing with a project, which is one of the most modern, to build an Evolt, perhaps it should value the national industry more, which fights against the worst enemy of the market, which is one of the most rigid governments in the world and not just suck up to the ****!

Don't worry, Jair, this guy must be a ****. Every **** is ignorant, so much so that he votes for **** for president. The **** doesn't read and therefore doesn't know that Embraer is among the largest aviation companies in the world and is on the same level as it, only the French Airbus. I have a friend, in fact she is my brother's sister-in-law, she works at a NASA branch within Embraer. With a degree in mechanical engineering and a postgraduate degree in robotics, she is developing the prototype you mentioned above. Shortly before Christmas, the company sent her to the US to capture technology and bring it here. Brazil is, in fact, very involved in this area, despite the unfortunate **** government.
