Opportunity for Free Training for Teachers, Education Professionals, and the School Community, with 40 Hours of In-Person Classes

Enrollment for the Libras Course began yesterday, March 10, 2025, and will remain open until March 14. This training is offered by CAS (Center for Training Education Professionals and Services for Deaf People) and consists of a 40-hour program.

The classes will be conducted in a face-to-face format at two school units, providing interactive and enriching learning.

Course Objective

The Libras Course aims to train professionals and members of the school community in a language essential for the inclusion of deaf individuals.

Target Audience of the Course

The course is aimed at teachers, education professionals, students aged 15 and up, and other interested members of the school community.

This training represents an excellent opportunity for those who wish to better understand the needs of deaf students and develop skills that promote communication and inclusion.

Course Content

During the classes, participants will have the opportunity to learn about:

Vocabulary in Libras: Fundamental knowledge for basic and advanced communication.

Practical Examples: Applications of Libras in social and educational contexts, allowing students to understand how to use the language in everyday situations.

Interactive Activities: Students will be able to practice Libras with a deaf teacher, enriching the learning experience and providing an authentic view of deaf culture.

This approach not only teaches the language but also promotes deaf culture, helping participants to better understand the reality of deaf individuals and the importance of their inclusion in society.

Class Locations and Times

The classes will be held at two institutions:

EE 11 de Outubro:

Group 1: Tuesdays, from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM
Group 2: Tuesdays, from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM

EE Profº Silvio Oliveira dos Santos:

Group 1: Thursdays, from 12:00 PM to 12:50 PM
Group 2: Thursdays, from 6:00 PM to 6:50 PM

Each school unit has 60 spots, with 30 per group, ensuring a more focused and personalized learning environment.
