Agricultural Sector Consumes 25% of Caterpillar Brazil’s Machines
About a quarter of the construction machines sold by Caterpillar Brazil are used on rural properties. This information came from Odair Renosto, the company’s president, during an interview at Agrishow, a fair that took place in April in Ribeirão Preto.
25% of the machines sold by the company have been delivered to agricultural sector clients since 2017, and although the company does not disclose its sales volumes, a survey based on sources interviewed by the report indicates that approximately 3,300 machines from Caterpillar Brazil were allocated to agribusiness last year.
In the field, construction machines are used for preparing contour lines and leveling the soil to facilitate mechanized planting and harvesting.
