The Foreign Language Center of João Pessoa, PB, opened this week around 600 positions for free courses in English, Spanish, French, German, and also for Brazilian Sign Language (Libras), already for the first semester of 2022. The Language Center has made a complete manual available to guide those interested about the registration and enrollment processes for English, Spanish, French, German, and Libras courses.

According to the manual from the Language Center, students enrolled in the municipal education network who are in at least the 6th grade (previously 5th grade) may register in person on February 3 and 4.
Parents or guardians of the candidate must present copies of the following documents at the time of registration: identity card, CPF or birth certificate, proof of residence, proof of schooling – whether a declaration of the current year, transcript, certificate, or diploma – and a 3×4 photo of the student.

Complete Your Registration
For municipal network teachers who are also interested in the vacancies for free courses at the Language Center, they can register via a digital form on January 22, with the link provided in the manual, which can also be accessed BY CLICKING HERE.
The registration form will only be available on January 22, starting at 8 AM. Municipal network teachers must verify their ties with the school by providing a copy of their pay stub or through a declaration from the sector duly signed and stamped by the head of the institution; additionally, basic documents such as identity (birth certificate or marriage certificate), proof of residence, and a 3×4 photo are also required.
Available Positions for Other Interested Parties
The Language Center is also offering positions for people over 18 years old who have already completed or are still attending at least the 6th grade (previously 5th grade) of elementary school II.
Registrations for this group must also be made through a digital form. The link to register for one of the free courses at the Language Center will be available on January 21, also at 8 AM.

The Foreign Language Center of the Municipality of João Pessoa/PB, known as CELEST, was created by the Municipal Secretary of Education in 2013, with the aim of facilitating the learning process and fluency in foreign languages and also in sign language, for both elementary school students and teachers and staff from other sectors of the João Pessoa City Hall administration, as well as offering services to the general community.
At the Language Center, free courses in English, Spanish, French, German, and Brazilian Sign Language (Libras) are offered, focusing on reading, speaking, and writing in a facilitated manner, aiming to strengthen and develop social, professional, and cultural responsibility bonds. The courses have an estimated duration of 3 years, with weekly classes, which can be in-person or online, lasting 2 hours and 30 minutes.
